I tried a new post but it requires a "recipient" of which I do NOT understand.
My Cub Cadet has been hard starting, finally hearing a clicking noise like a solenoid. My wife removed the gas tank so I could see where the solenoid was. Took it off and found the small wire had busted out of the side of the solenoid. No clue as to what caused that as it's only been there 49 years. Managed to find a model number in the rust and went online. Found a replacement through Google that fits a dozen or more Cub Cadets. The new one should be here next week. Pictured below is the old solenoid and the new solenoid.
BTW, miss the old Yahoo Groups when I first was a member 20 years ago...
