I’m working on a CC 126, I. took the head off to replace a blown head gasket and now I’m having trouble trying to figure out exactly in what sequence the lock washers, spacers and nut goes on the studs protruding from the block, and up through the sheet metal on top of the head!
Is there a diagram somewhere??

It goes washer, nut, spacer.
That’s kind of what I thought,, so that’s what I tried, but then I have nothing left to install the sheet metal over the head! I had all of the studs, bolts, washers, and spacers in a container since I took the head off so I know there is nothing missing!

It goes washer, nut, spacer on the studs only. The bolts get the washers. A picture of the head and engine would help.
