My first belt lasted 3 years, then jumped off. I've had two jump in less than five minutes. I know I skipped some steps putting the deck back on, I went back and did it right by the book, put the used belt on and it jumped off. With someone sitting in the seat, PTO engaged, I cannot see what is causing this. The front of the deck seems a little lower than the rear, and I noticed on the left side, looking down from the front, a mystery metal piece about as thick as a clothes hanger, about five inches long, looks pre-formed with a hooked end, attached behind a nut on the outside of the framne, with the hooked end attached to nothing. This is a rigid piece. I wonder if I lost a part by not following directions. Here's a pic. http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/ernpick/media/null_zpsmxqn8oes.jpg.html

We kinda need to know which machine you have.
It makes a difference from what I see in the Parts Look up above.
