Why are we seeing advertisements for gold and silver in with the posts?

I believe that is related to your individual web browser settings; unrelated to iHcubCadet.com. I see no unsolicited ads on this site, for example. Only the site sponsors’ ads, which I welcome.

Unless the user mindfully blocks out the “internet noise,” the internet noise will find the user (and incessantly so!).

Try getting familiar with the security/privacy settings (including “cookies”) in your web browser. There is a way to minimize the appearance of unsolicited content. YouTube probably has an instructional video for whichever web browser you’re using.

That same ad appears in the monthly summary email I get on another forum that uses the same forum hosting service as this one, so its tied to that and not this particular forum itself. No ads on the actual forum that I can see.

It's quite easy to ignore and NOT click the link in the email.

I get the same thing on my Yahoo email, never paid any attention to it. I had to make an effort to even see it after reading this post.
