Wondering is there a rebuild kit for the fuel tank shut off valve in the bottom of the 82 series tanks? I haven't been able to find one on the web. Digger - I must be blind cause I can't see one on your website either? Also another dumb question - should you "SEE" a spark on points when it actually contacts or am I just imagining things? Still learning lots about electrical stuff on garden tractors. OMG!

No rebuild kit...new grommet and shutoff is $10 or less from a variety of sources.
ok, thanks Matt. Next dumb question - how the heck does it come out of the tank? Is it just a press fit in? Just don't want to break it off trying to replace it and have it floating around in the tank. Will search out the two pieces then. Perfect!

regular ignition points charge the coil when they close and spark when they open dwell is then measurable. as for a plastic tank , grommet and shut off valve assembly the valve wiggles out of the grommet for removal and re install the grommet in tank first then install the valve.
