Hello once again all. I didnt get the chance to post any pics of my tractors but here are a few. I own 2 CC 149's currently. One thats complete in the pics i mow with and use a snow blade. The other is being restored and im building a front end loader for in the process. It will be only used as a loader when all finished which is hopefully in the next month or so. I just finished going through the rear end and hydrostat this weekend. Next comes paint! Yay!

Hey Bubby, just curious, did you get the 149 restoration going? Would love to see some pics if you have the chance.

Yes cubbie. Im right in the mix of things currently. Took my frame and fender pan to a local fella for sandblasting since it would be so much work to do those 2 pieces by hand. Well worth the $100 he charged me lol. Included are some pics of some of the other parts. I bought a supposed "new" gear pump off ebay for my loader build that turned out to be a "used" broke gear pump unfortunately. At least the guy refunded my money so imma order one from northern tool like i should have in the first place lol. Oh well lesson learned. I dont get on the internet much friend so sorry for the late response.

Hey, these are looking great. Looks like it's going smoothly. Good, there's no problem finding parts.
It was the holiday season, no problem with the reply.
Great job! Have fun.(y)🙂

I just installed a Concentrix pump from Northern Tool to replace the Cessna pump on my Danco loader. Works great.

Like your little cannon with the wood frame looks like the frame is a little weak to the rest of it 😀😃😄👍

Was it a converted hydraulic cylinder SIR ???
No. A solid piece of 3" round tube with a 1" inner diameter. Basically a 1" wall. Very thick. The frame does fine. I pull it around with the 149. This past 4th i was towing it down the road around the corner to my in-laws for celebration and a state highway patrolman pulled me over. Luckily just to take pictures of the dummy towing a homeade cannon with a cub cadet 149😂😂

Made a good one SIR and even a little attention !!!! The mother of invention is A Need (Necessity) !!!!!!
I would have to agree sir! I can safely put a 2500 grain charge in it and then pack it tight with newspaper for wading and when she goes i know for sure they can hear it 4 miles away cause my mothers house is that far. They say they hear it plain as day so ive always wondered how far away it can actually be heard lol.

Bubby, because of my powder experience ...2500 grains of what????..I'm afraid you might be tempting someone with no knowledge to experiment...my brotherinlaw blew my cannon all to pieces except the bbl (only 12 in) by stiffing it ..It was a wooden carriage...

I use the muzzleloader pre-measured blackpowder 50grain pellets. I get the heavy duty Reynolds aluminum foil and crush up the pellets in a bowl and fold it into as tight a ball just smaller than the bore. Then i wrap another piece to make it stronger. I have a shovel handle thats a perfect ramrod. I slide the charge in, push it down the bore as easy as possible. I then make mushroom balls out of newspaper that are a little bigger than the bore so its extremely tight when ramming it tight to the charge packet. Im by no means a professional but ive noticed u want that newspaper as tight as possible for a basic airtight seal to make the big boom lol. U will know if it wasnt tight enough cause it wont be near as loud. You want everything tight too because as u have learned i guess, you can be dealing with a massive pipe bomb if it isnt right. Just my opinion off my experience but do that stuff at your own risk.
