I this a direct fit/swap?
My 1961 Original is needing new gears. Heard that a Farmall Cub gears is the same.
Is this true?

Call RF Houtz, he probably has the parts you're for on hand. I had always heard the gearboxes were basically the same. But I have no direct knowledge if it's true. I know the input is different.

I would guess they are. Due to the difference in the axles and the framework of the cub tractor compared to the cub cadet, the "outside" stuff doesn't match. But I would think the insides were the same. IH made a lot of parts that would interchange with other tractors to help keep inventory down.
