Help! The grass is taking over!!
Engine ran, then drive belt broke. We change drive and deck belts, with new trans fan.
Now engine will not turn over. Tries but just stops and clicks.
I am thinking it is a jammed drive belt causing by poor installation.
Any ideas??

Take the deck pto belt off, and see how it cranks or rotate it by hand then. A not so favorable thought: something catastrophic caused the belt to break...

If it hasn't been cranked in a while, the battery could have gone bad. A lot of things could have caused it to not crank. Could be a separate issue with the belt.

Take the belt back off and verify what turns and what doesn't. Sounds like a part has failed or is jammed somewhere.

Will try that! I think something is jamming drive belt, or PTO clutch. Maybe tranny is frozen which caused belt to break.
