We've had as many as 8 at one time feasting on deer, raccoon and other roadkill.
In the sky above, you can see 2 adults coming in.

Then the daddy shows up.

Charlie,
Awesome pics! Eagles are majestic birds. I love the last pic with the wings extended. Nothing like a little leverage. Seems like a nice show to drink your coffee to every morning.........

Gimpy shows up every morning now, LOL

Between him and the other 6, we're having to bring home a road kill deer about every 3 days, LOL

What's the farthest you've driven to haul home a road kill? Good thing there's no shortage of road kill deer. I wonder if the DNR will get bent out of shape for feeding Eagles?

Tim Haubert just sent me this photo that he took yesterday:

Kraig,
Truth be known, we have hauled a BIG deer dang near from Fargo one day, about 90 miles west of here.
Ya just can't pass up a nice fat one ya know, LOL

And YES the DNR frowns on even picking up rodd kill without permission!

The last time we got stopped, the PRICK said that he COULD fine me up to $500.00 for doing so.

I told him that we had an eagle with an injured foot and were doing our part to help him survive.

I laughed right in his face and said good luck with that and drove away!

Good thing he didn't follow me, it would have been pricey, but still worth it IMHO.

I've got 3 guys that bring road kill all winter and drop it off. I give'um $10.00 a deer, and no one's any the wiser.

WOW, Awesome pics guys. I love Eagle's also. There is a small nesting near Mom and Dad's North of Danville, ILL. They are in the marshland at the north end of Lake Vermillion, created when they raised the level of the lake. We get by and see them occasionally when we are over there.

In the latest photos, that is HIS utility pole, and he isn't going to give it up no matter what, or how noisy something is when it passes below.....

Charlie, does Gimpy stop outside your window, or you have a long lens on your camera. I thought you mentioned he lands outside your window, then my wife asks why...do you give it a chicken leg to start the day?

It's about 50 feet out the window.
No chicken leg, just a new deer or raccoon I pick off every other day or 3 from the bird feeder stand, LOL

We did snag a nice road kill beaver today. The 3 year old eagle flew away with it right off.

He's the resident pig eagle.

I bet you are not amused by the white stuff either. Keep that stuff up there for a while, I don't have my Cub changed over for winter yet and I'm having a similar charging issue to what Terry was having. I've swapped the S/G and the regulator but no charge. I have a couple more spares of each and I may have to dig into the wiring to see if it's a bad connection.

That's it. I'm moving west as soon as it's possible. No more NY.

Hummmmm...Mark, have you looked at what's happening west of you? Maybe enough of 'Lake Effect' snow for you but Charlie and Kraig and others are getting the Alaska/Canadian effect. Better to go southwest, my daughter says San Diego is great this time of year!

Charlie, very cool photo!

I took this photo back in November of 2012:
