Cub Cadet 1300

I am considering buying a 1997 Model 1300 Cub Cadet by MTD - standard trans, 13 HP Briggs, 38" deck - and am wondering if anyone has any experience with this tractor?? My lawn is less than 1/2 acre, fairly level, fairly smooth, and not a lot of obstructions. I would also use it with a small cart for general duty lawn work. What is their service record if anyone knows??

Larry I just was given a 1330 but I'm not sure what the year is. It has a 12.5 hp Kohler Command engine and a 38" deck. It is an MTD type. My yard is about 3.5 acres and no where near level with several obstructions.

I am happy with it so far although I do wish it had more power. Was using a 14.5 hp Briggs Yard Machine but was working on it more than mowing my yard.

So far I would recommend it and will probably by a new one next year with any luck at all. Nothing wrong with this one just want MORE POWER and I never had a new mower.
