cub 149 steering

I've got a cub cadet 149 and when I wad mowing the part of the ball joint that is on the end of the tie rod fell off the ball and I have a zip tie holding it on. can anyone help me find a place to get a new ball joint.

3/8" fine RH thread ball joint linkage. Any farm store, CC dealer, mower shop, McMaster-Carr, etc. will have them. This is also a pretty common upgrade:

Pro tip: Never buy standards like fasteners, rod ends, bearings, etc. from a dealer unless there is no other option. Their markup is insane.

McMaster-Carr has what you want. Not sure you could just buy the seal though.

On ebay searched 'part 6058k28' - the first listing at $6 bucks with rubber dust cover.

I have a cub cadet 129 that i am selling and whenever i shut it off and try to start it again it doesn't do anything anyone know why?

I have a feeling that something is drawing power when off or the starter generator isn't charging.

Doe's it start cold, but not hot?. If it doe's then you have a coil / spark issue

it will start cold but after running it for even 2 minutes if you shut it off it wont start back up like its not charging and something is drawing extra power while running

I had the same problem some time ago. I found one quite easily to match it at a local TSC (Tractor Supply Store) for about $4.

You can check the s/g to see if it is working or not. Go to the faq section and look up starter/generator check.
The faq's are under the IH cc tractor thread. When you get there, look at #47.

yeah it wont even crank after i shut it off.

Probably a loose connection somewhere. Be sure and check your safety switches. You can check your S/G even if your cub won't crank.
