I have several Cubs, one the choke works in reverse can someone tell me how to get it to work correctly

Just guessing: Someone replaced the original carburetor with a new "knock-off"?
I say this because- I did the same thing- and the choke was "reversed" from the original setup.
OEM carb/ Cheap "Knockoff"... notice choke/shaft position: both chokes are "open" . but the levers are in different positions:
What I did to fix this was:
- Remove the original choke plate and shaft from my original carb.....
- I used a Dremel to remove the threads from the BRASS screws holding the original choke plate to the choke shaft
- CAREFULLY remove the brass screws from the choke plate (you still risk snapping them off - I did, and had to redrill and tap the shaft)
- Do the same to the New Carb's choke plate.
- Remove the choke plate and rod from the "new" carb....
- Replace the original choke plate and rod into the "new" carb....
(original choke plate and shaft installed into new carb...

Be aware when you remove the choke shaft there is a little spring and ball in the left hole, they will fly out if you are not expecting it. BTW the little spring and ball are not interchangeable between the 2 carbs, the chinese have smaller balls...

I have one of the cheap carbs on my 107. The choke on it is correct. I had to remove the ball from the old carb and fit it to the top of the throttle shaft on the new one, for whatever reason it did not have it. Those carbs are hit or miss, and I missed with mine. The idle circuit does absolutely nothing. Engine runs alright, but it has to be tuned solely with the main. I can run the engine with the idle screw all the way closed or completely removed from the carb and it does not make a difference.
Also one thing to note, rather than deforming the screw threads like IH did to prevent the screws backing out, it has lock washers on all the screws instead.

I do not know how or why they are small, that is how they came from the factory.
Chinese have smaller hands,THUS smaller shaft and balls......LOLI'm not even gonna ask how you know what size balls the Chinese have!!

I'm in the process of rebuilding my original cub carb,when i found out the float had a pin hole leak and was filled with gas,i have a $15 carb on it now and it runs fine,,got the float & rebuild kit off E-BAY and will keep it asa spare,,,My cub has a 10hp kohler and my wheel horse has a 12hp kohler should be the same carb....
