Are there any known tried and true improvements that can be dome to the Kubota WG600 in the 2182. I'm not looking for huge HP increases, just a little extra power.

Anyone on here ever tackled this task?

I'm working on one right now. They can stand to be "fattened up" a little with a slightly larger carb orifice, otherwise, I think you get what you get.

The are rated a 21hp and 30.5 lbft torque.....no slouch by any means and every bit as powerful as the Onan in the 982.

Thanks for the response. I've got mine out right now and figured I would look for something to do on it. It has about 900 hours on it. I was considering doing a rebuild on it. Would this be something to do at 900 hrs, or should I just leave it alone since it aint broke. It runs fine and seems to have plenty of power as it is.

What is the expected life of these engines?
