Just purchased a lt 1050 , 50 inch mow deck, It seems that the deck is not compatible with the elec clutch , clutch pulley seems much lower, could someone have swapped decks then sold it to me , It a 2006 manufacture cub thanks P Wing

There's no way anyone can answer your question without more info!

Get the serial number off the machine, click the Parts Look up above and see what it left the factory with, and.

I cannot find any numbers on the mower deck ,, If you were to put a level on the deck pulleys and run it under tractor belly , it would be about 2 inch's or so higher than the drive pulley, this seems not correct to me , I noticed on diagrams of the clutches , that there are 3 different pulley heights ,, or am I wrong , I wish sometimes exploded diagrams were just a little more helpful. Thanks P Wing

Like I said before, we need more information.

Without at least a serial number from the rider, there's not much anyone online can do for ya.

Load it up, take it to a Cub dealer and ask them, at least they can see what your talking about!

There's 3 versions of a 50" deck for that machine.

Mower Deck 50 inch 618-04126 spindle SN 1I136H & before
Mower Deck 50 inch 618-04126 spindle SN 1I146H & after
Mower Deck 50 inch 618-04129A spindle

hello Digger , serial # is 1J246H20139

Model # is 13AP11CP710

Date of Mfg. 10/2006

I'm also not familiar with this machine at all , what does spindle refer to ?
p.s I keep a 1907 single cylinder Cadillac running as well as other vintage machines, so I'm ok once I start to understand things thanks P Wing

Ah yes , the dilemma continues , after a bit of searches , I was able to put picture with correct number clutch for the tractor , the pulley is higher by about 3/4 inch as near as one can tell from internet pics. Now there is this 50 inch deck, which has a transfer that sez 50 inch deck and a transfer that has the belt instruction, a warning that we are not supposed to run over small children , but can someone tell me where to find a serial # or part # on this thing,? I now also believe that it is also not the correct deck for the LT 1050 , I as common sense tells me that it should lift off the ground when in the high setting , yes the cables and back levers for lifting are fine , Is there perhaps a smaller deck for these? I did go to local cub c dealer and found that every single cub and deck seemed to have different set up , looking at the parts machines of which they must have 25 or so.

I know I'm not comp. wiz , I finally looked at the cartoons jumping up and down , I ignored it because it looked like a pop up add , if it were typed I'd have read it right away.. a few days ago

Have you ever seen a pop up ad or any other type of ad other than the sponsors at the top of each page on this site?

No , however I've only been on this for a few days ,, I think in the end Mrs. Wing is just going to have a nice yard tractor , which runs and starts fine....

If the pulleys don't line up, then you can probably cut and fabricate it with a couple of power tools and a little patience. I have done similar things with tractors, sometimes the setups don't match between the accessories and the PTO. You can use an angle grinder to shave the bushings on the deck pulley, make it sit lower. Also, you can shave the bushings on the PTO and/or drive pulley to make the PTO pulley sit higher. It is easy enough for you to do it in about 1 afternoon. You sound like a savvy guy with machines, you can probably just eyeball it and figure it out from there.

however, if the desk just doesn't want to sit at the right height for cutting the grass, then you may have to alter a lot more than just a couple of pulleys; your best bet would be to look up the tractor model, and then cross reference it online to see which model decks will fit on it. Then you can trade the one you have, or sell it after you find one that will fit it.
