Melody, does the lift handle move through it's normal range? If not, my guess is that something is amiss with item # 7 in the parts drawing. Check the manual that I linked to in my post below and recheck how you have item # 7 installed.

Looking for a spec # for my CC129. My decal is unreadable. It is a black replacement engine.

Wide frame 3 point lift, maybe?

Melody,
Do you have item 9 from Kraig's diagram below?

Terry, looks like your PDF copy is the same as the one I linked to which is the same as the original one I scanned back in July of 2001.

Terry R.
What you have to understand is, 95% of all the manuals on the internet, no matter where you got'um came from Kraig's scanner!

AND, most were used/copied/uploaded WITHOUT permission from Kraig!

OR even giving him credit!

Charlie, Kraig,
I actually just loaded that one today - and only because Melody needed one. But then I noticed Kraig already had one linked. I dont' want to have manuals on my site - unless I see a need for one. It's counterproductive to do so as you guys pointed out - Kraig already has most of them. So, I'm going to remove the one I've linked to.....

Charlie, Terry, I just wanted to mention that I'm OK with not getting credit for them. I do on occasion, such as the post below, point out that I scanned them.

Way back when I scanned those and gave away hundreds of CDs with the scans on them my only request was that they not be sold for profit. Here is a copy of the disclaimer text file that I put on the first set of CDs that I sent out:

Hello fellow IH Cub Cadet fans!

I'd like to thank all of those that contributed to the making of this CD. If you have a
copy of the CD you likely contributed in some fashion. That or I felt you were deserving
of a copy of the CD for some reason.

The purpose for creating this CD was as a way for me to archive information that I could
then use to be able to help out other IH Cub Cadet owners get answers to their questions
and problems. I have no intention of trying to make a monetary profit from this CD, with
all the time and effort I've spent so far it would be impossible to recover enough money
to make even a small profit anyway. My intentions are geared, sorry Hydro fans ;o),
toward making friends and helping others, something that's impossible to put a monetary
value on. This CD is not a "for sale" item! Copies can only be obtained as a gift from me,
although, having written that, I can't control what is done with the information after I
"gift" a CD. I do respectfully ask that no one use this information to create their own
"for profit" CD or for other "for profit" uses as this wouldn't be fair to the other's that
have contributed information, or to me. If anyone knows of someone that is deserving of a CD
please let me know, I'd be happy to gift additional CDs, within reason of course. Feel free
to send individual files to help out a fellow Cub Cadet owner remedy a problem or answer a
question about their Cub Cadet or implement, such as would be done on a forum, for example
posting a picture of an implement or e-mailing a few pages from a manual.

I've tried to organize the information in an as easy to use fashion as I could come up with.
I've found that it is best viewed with the image viewing program called "ViewPrint Pro".
ViewPrint Pro is also the best program I've found for printing the pages of manuals or other
images from the CD as it fits the image to the paper, ie. a manual page will print to one
8.5x11 sheet of paper with no adjustment of the margins, just be sure to set the print setup
to landscape for those pictures that are in that orientation. A trial version of this
program can be downloaded from this website:

To the best of my knowledge none of the information contained on this CD is protected by
copyright laws. If anyone knows that something is protected by a copyright please let me
know and I'll remove it from any possible future copies of the CD.

I'd like to add a final thank you to Bob and Bryan for their efforts at bringing us all the
International Cub Cadet Forum (https://www.ihcubcadet.com/discus/), without which this CD
wouldn't have been possible.

I hope you enjoy this CD as much as I've enjoyed puttin it together!

Sincerely,

Kraig McConaughey, "Keeper of the Photos"<!-/quote-!><hr size=0></blockquote>

I should confess that I have profited in many ways from all those CDs I gave away. I have made LOTS of friends on this forum and on the JD forum (Weekend Freedom Machines). A group of those people got together and gave me this:

Which after a lot of time and out of pocket $$$ I now have a priceless Cub Cadet Original:

Kraig,Terry,Kent, 3 point put on and works good. Thanks for all your help. Mel

Kraig M. International Harvest Paint Codes for the prototype Cub Cadet Originals.

Look down the chart. I got the paint code numbers from the High Resolution pictures snd just Googled the International Harvester Paint #93-27154. Scroll down to around the 1960 colors and maybe a couple years prior. Those Prototype colors did come from trucks and Scouts.

The first to appear is Coral Pink #92-27147 in the year 1957 as the fourth one down the chart. The picture numbers are listed in the DuPont section. The IH red is at the very bottom of the chart.

I think the engineer is wearing Hush Puppies!

Really rainy in my neck of the woods today so not much done for prep work for paint. I did play around with some of the goodies from Dave Kirk and contemplated the installation of his Tachometer. This K-321 is getting his Points Slayer and I'm looking forward to installing that module and its special push rod. I also purchased one of his breather covers that vents the blow by down away from the engine and I couldn't be happier with that although I did paint the anodized aluminum glossy black as well as the brass fitting. (Grin Dave) I did tape up the brass where the hose goes on. It looks sharp and will keep the engine clean.

Yes, I sprayed the jug with ACE barbecue paint and yes I've read for 12 yrs. about not doing it for heat dissipaton and that info. is surely correct but I did it anyways. It says it's good for intermittent heat of 1000deg. or better. If my engine gets that hot ........well........

I'll call you tomorrow Digger. Seems we are still not communicating.

Kraig M. Take time to scroll through ALL the pages listed at the very bottom for IH paint colors. Federal Yellow is almost at the very bottom of page six under 1969 colors. I'm trying to find a listing for the FARMALL F Series Blue Gray. It has to be buried in ther somewhere.

"It says it's good for intermittent heat of 1000deg. or better. If my engine gets that hot ........well........ "

I'd say you could probably DRAIN your piston, rings, & wrist pin out of the crankcase as a molten mess thru the oil drain plug!

Two ways to look at the discussion on painting engines. Paint is an insulator, so is RUST.

Question - How are you going to shine up the cyl. head? I'm not sure how Electro-polishing a diecast head would look. Works great on Stainless.

Going to be a good looking and I'm sure good running engine. ALSO, let me know how you like DK's tach. I might NEED a couple. Maybe THREE.
