Another view in same place. You can see dale hollow lake in three areas and it is nine miles away. Wish i had the skill on photography you have. I would invest in a good camera.

Here it is October 2nd and look at the activity at my bird bath! These bluebirds usually are gone by the end of August, Labor day for sure. For about an hour this afternoon my backyard was alive with bluebirds as well a several finches, nuthatches, woodpeckers, chickadees. And every night a deer empties the water out of the bath.

Ron-
That's a neat picture. I think the animals are all just THIRSTY around here. (and for good reason too!)

This past weekend I put a soaker-hose around the shrubs at the front of the house and let it run for about an hour while I was working in the garage. When I stepped back outside to turn it off, the shrubs were FULL of every kind of song-bird imagineable. They were actually trying to splash in the water coating the landscape rocks.

It's so dry ya start to feel sorry for every animal around here. (Either that or I'm tempted to bow-hunt over my daughter's old kiddie pool full of water out in the front yard.)

Ron T.. great pic of the Bluebirds. When I lived in the country we had Bluebirds that nested in a box every year. They are such cool winged ones. Yeah, with the rain shortage, every living creature is in great need of WATER.! thanks for snapping and sharing..

Ron, great photo of Blue Birds! Last night while bow hunting I had a half dozen or so of them singing to me from about 6 to 8' away. A bunch of Chickadees and Nut Hatches where hanging around me singing to me too but they were coming within 3 feet. Well, OK, they were not all really singing to me, more like yelling at me.

More on this in another thread...

Art, very true on the water situation. BTW, you can hunt over water, you can even place it out as an attractant, at least in Wisconsin. It works great, especially this year. I've had a plastic tub buried in my food plot at the farm for years and it draws all sorts of wild life. As above, more on this in another thread later this morning...

Yesterday was a nice day to ride the Harley to work, but as I fired it up and was going through the parking lot to go home I noticed this little guy staring up at me.

He flew away just seconds after getting this shot. He must not like the vibrations of a Harley.
