Dennis F. Yepper those are Sundstrand a.k.a. Sauer Danfoss parts that were repackaged. You're safe running the 800 range. Only difference in the pumps were the trunion arms and the right versus left side location.

I found this a little bit ago while doing a search for some other items.

I changed all the fluids, the spark plug, and filled it with gas. Runs like a dream.

At this point I'm thinking it will just be used to pull the wagon around.

Terry, if your gonna let that young lady drive that around, you better slop some paint on that tractor so it looks at least 1/2 as good as she does!

Could use a little help again. Installed the K341AQS. started it up and found out it was not charging the batttery. Checked the AC voltage across both field coil terminals at 3600RPM and am getting 40 VAC. Checked dc voltage on B+ terminal got only a few mili-voilts. Per Kohler manual this means to replace the regulator. So I bought an aftermarket Stens regular and still no charge! Is there suppose to be a way to install the regulator? I know the old ones you had to polarize them. Do you need to this too? or could I have gotten a bad regulator? I painted the fan shroud is the regulator casing suppose t be grounded?

Any help will be appreciated. Rob

Josh Ott, I just replaced my trunion and shimmed the plates like you are describing. I got my shims from McMaster Carr like the others on the board have suggested. I used (5) .005" 316 SS shims. They were roughtly 80 cents a piece and shipping was a few bucks. I haven't run the machine yet so I don't know how much it improved. I'll tell ya the trunion was in desperate need of replacement!

Rob,

The regulator should not need to be polarized, but it does need to be grounded.

40VAC out of the stator is a good healthy stator!!!!!!

I think everyone on here has a yard to maintain, and here is an attachment I made for my tiller.
The slicers are 2 inches apart and I run in 2-L

This works very well when I want to overseed the lawn, change grass as I am doing this time around. I made the attachment 15 years ago and use every 3-4 years.

Josh O & others, CC Specialties also carries shims (in three thicknesses), under the Hydro section of the website. It also has a link to Richard C & Matt G's tutorial on the subject. (Thanks Matt - I used your method on three of my Cubs so far).

Just did the de-carbon job on the 149. new head gasket and a good cleaning. Question for the engine folks,,, Just how much of a mirror finish should the piston bore have? Could see to shave in the reflection of this 14 hp. It has just over 200 hours on it and the blow-by out the dipstick tube is terrible.Has always acted like the rings never seated. Is a ring and hone job due???
