Don-

You could have it sleeved back to standard bore. There are a finite amount of these blocks left, and that one isn't broken...

Yea Don,You can come down to jersey

do you still want it???

well id like to have the weights and wieght box but im actually just looking at it for a putt-around tractor. lol

This is for anyone who wants to chime in- i was reading a brochure for the creepers and it said it has 3 postions- high range, low range, and neutral. I never put the lever in the middle or neutral as they call it and have never seen anyone else do it. Why would they publish it if it was only suppose to be in either high or low range?

Well I would love to sleeve a block, but they said $250.00 if I was to bring a block in to have a sleeve replaced.I bet it would cost big $$$ to get a good block shipped here. I have to give this some thought as to what I will do.And what should I pay for a good block ?

Josh, you put the lever in neutral every time you went from high to low. It's 3 positions.

Don,Maybe Frank C
Can help you out.
I have this 70 I picked up and the clutch lever does not have the notch cut out for the steering box.It works but the clutch / brake adjustment does not have a lot of leeway.Did the very early ones not have that notch? #65699

Lewis Palma
I might have to have a block shipped to Frank C and make a trip over there

Well I put 3/4 of a load in the trailer and thought do or bust and it worked slick . I`am happy now and will have to do a mod on the tail gate because its a lift out tail gate now and I want a proper working tail gate that I can spread soil with .

Don-
Good job on the trailer!!!

Josh-
Neutral on the creeper is used whenever you flat-tow your cub behind your RV.

I`am not as savy as you posting but I have a video of it dumping and youtube is not coperating with me lol. It did dump the 3/4 load fast and not any issues to look at. I`am happy now and can move to the tail gate and my 450 snow blower.I have a BIG smile lol.

DON - How old is the battery in your 129? Try just hooking the charger to the battery. For some reason the batteries today seem to short-out internally, lowers voltage and draws the other cells down till dead.

The old battery in my 72 went that way, it would only start when on the booster/charger, wouldn't even run the radio or lights with the engine off and charger not hooked up. And needless to say, would not accept a charge so amp gauge always read @ Zero. New battery fixed it right up.

I hope digger is looking after you because you make this site great! Kraig is great also. the bat is last fall and is a good battery, I just placed it in and did not get it all conected back as to spec. My 129 did charge and does work great. Love my Cubs. I just need the wire diagram to see if I have the ground connected correctly. Thanks Don T

DON - Yes, DIGGER takes good care of me. He calls once a month and chews me out about off-topic posts and reminds me to mail him my "Off-topic Post toll check" which he cashs as soon as he gets it. Which remonds me, haven't seen him post the WHAM-bulance lately. ;-)

(I better delete that, might give Charlie the idea to really do that!)

If the battery is that new, think your correct, if something has been disconnected & reconnected recently, since the last time the battery started your 129 & charged properly, something isn't hooked up quite right.

Josh,
I don't know what "brochure" you were reading that said a creeper has 3 positions, but the Operators Manual's all state, and I quote, "Do not use a mid-point on the creeper drive as neutral. Neutral position must be selected only with the standard transmission gearshift lever" end quote. You can't always believe what is printed in the brochures. Now if you were reading a brochure about the M&W 9 speed, it doesn't have a neutral position either, but it does have 3 positions, - Overdrive, Direct drive, and Underdrive, but no neutral.

Hi Guys,

Need some insight... the cast end deck on my 100 is not being held up by the subframe correctly when the lift lever is all the way down. Even with the eye bolts adjusted in their extreme position the front of the deck is an inch and a half lower than the back of the deck. The front end is basically resting on the floor while the gauge wheels in back spin freely. Why is this happening? A knowledgable friend insists that bending the "forked" bar on the subrame upwards about 30 degrees will make it work right. Has anyone else run into this type of problem? Something strange is going on...

Don T,
Video works, dump trailer works very good,it dumps and even the wheels come off the ground...

A tribute to my 129. When I purchased my property some 11yrs. ago the 129 came with it. It was cobbled up real bad and looked like this...

I refurbed it mechanically very well and it mowed almost 2 acres of grass/weeds for eight or so years looking very rusty and bent up. At the time of the body work/paint, money was tight and I used Valspar from TSC. As Matt would say it just is not right and I agree but at least it's not rusting. Anyhow, since acquiring the ZTR for mowing duties the 129 can rest a bit. I gave it a good washing (only time it has been wet since I've owned it) and parked it until it receives the Killer Kohler.
