Get a L and G battery with at least 300 CCA, otherwise what ever brand you can find. Vibration is the big killer most of the time....

I have used the Briggs gold series batteries with good success...Around 375 CCA.

Here is the 1650 after a spin or two around the yard.

Has anyone ever tried to replace the rod inside the manual lift lever on a 122?

Mine was stuck; when taking the top (where pushed with thumb) off, it twisted off. Found the washer to keep the spring straight was worn and binding.

Would it be easier to find a replacement arm?

That is a nice looking 1650, Bill. I know you did a lot of work to it to get it to the point of taking it for a spin around the yard. Feels good, doesn't it!

I know I banter a lot about my 1250 Nightmare, but I think a Quietline as a terrific tractor, and I wouldn't give up mine for something different. I hope you enjoy this tractor for years to come.

DT,
Take all the guts out (spring and washer), jack up the front end and push it out through the bottom. Clean up the inside of the lift handle, put some oil on it and run it up through the bottom the same way you removed it.

Bill, if you'll put a matching set of tires on the front it will increase the performance noticeable

Bill, what is the hole for in the fender pan by the wheel?
