A friend stopped by to show me the sweet 42" blade he just picked up for his 1200 and needed lift rod made for it.

One look at the lift arm bracket on the blade frame and I knew what I had wouldn't work.

Can anyone shed some light on what this bracket would have been used on and the 3 unused holes at the end. The cad plated bolts are all WP too. The slot has been stamped out and it sure don't look homemade, and it's big too, a 1/2" rod gets lost in it.

Never seen the custom made bracket for your snow blade before. The 3 unused holes are for an optional hydraulic angling attachment.

David S,

That piece that is bolted to the plow bracket is a cub part. It is used to lock the lift rod in place when you are grading dirt or gravel and need down pressure on the blade. For snow plowing, that piece should be removed and it will allow the lift rod to move up and down in the slot in the bracket thus letting the plow to float over the terrain.

I ran that same style lift bracket on my 1450 for years with no issues.
The extra slop in the lift actually helps the shock factor IMHO.

Well, I got the steering fixed with a new rolled pin...

Sure enough, as I'm on the last pass around my pond, part of the fence that is leaning in caught the button on the top of the deck adjustment lever, snapped it off and the deck dropped the ground

Ugh... What do I do now?!

Looks like a new pin is only $22 but I don't see anything in the blue ribbon service manual about how to repair the adjustment lever...

Any input would be greatly appreciated...

On a side note, just picked up a new to me 72" two-stage 3-point blower for my Kubota... Ready for the winter =)

Brian :
1: The 124 listed in your profile?
2: Are you talking about the Lift lever? If so, the pin screws to the top of the rod. If you snapped it off, you'll need to repair the long internal rod or find a replacement (new ones are NLA).

Yes for the 124...

When you view the replacement part, mine is broken on the small link in the middle:

http://www.cubcadet.com/equipment/cubcadet/ih-401456-r2

E.g when I look down into the hole where it used to be, I see the small nub that connected to the other half of the pin

From what I understand you are saying, that whole pin screws to the top of the internal rod?

I'm hoping I can replace just that top little nubby... If so, anyone have any instructions?

TY all =)
