Aaron's cell number is on his site on the HOW TO ORDER page. To find the link you have to be in the Garden Tractor Parts page.

Thanks I did not see that number when I was on his site and now will call him and see what he can do for me. I have added pictures of the CV drive shaft mod from a 1862 to my 1512D in ccc/ mtd .let me know what you think. Thanks again . Later Don T

Jeff Baker,

One likely cause of the stutter and loud backfire would be this scenario; The fuel inlet needle was temporarily stuck open and caused the fuel bowl to overfill, allowing the engine to overfuel. The unburnt gas would pass throught the engine to the muffler and it ignited in a rather attention-getting boom! Not real uncommon on occasion. If it reoccurs you may want to clean the carb and install a fresh gas inline filter.

I had a similar experience with my 12 HP loader tractor, I was ramming around on some rougher terrain and the carb's float was bouncing around and it gave the engine alot of excess gas; next thing was some blackish smoke then the ka-boom as the raw gas found the hot inside of the muffler.

Steve B,
Brilliant minds (and mine too) think alike! I did the same thing to add that rear lift on my 982. Nice job!

Don T,
Does that mean your tractor is becoming a blend? 15181262D? Part 1512 and part 1862.

Could you post another picture of where the bottom plate attaches to your tractor. I`am trying to decide how to install a sleeve hitch on my 1512 D. I was thinking of removeing the lift from my 149 and attach it to the Diesel. Thanks Don T
