That'll happen when you find a dog chain with your QA42...

Scott T...dog chain ?? I know what happens when you coil up an electric cord..or a rubber door mat !! It was a bear to unwind that mat years ago.

The QA42 I restored a few years ago had the dog chain blues from the PO... Bent up the auger, and put several creases in the blower housing...

Well I got this ready to install. Scratches and paint mesed up but done for me lol.I will mount it later this week.

Since no one else is posting snow pics!
The old 149 doesn't get used much any more, so I thought I would give it some run time after yesterdays 7" snow fall.

Frank C. I like that clipart.

Charlie P. Since you don't use that 149 and snowthrower very much anymore I'll trade you my 147 and $300.00 for it as pictured. (Of course the 147 is a long way from running.)

CHARLIE - I really hate to say this.... But I'm glad it's You & not me with seven inches of snow. I gotta still mow the grass one more time! And that works a littl' better with NO SNOW.

Here's a fall pic I took yesterday before the big leaf removal job today. This is the 124 I kinda got for free here recently. It had a 59M shredder attached and I got real lucky. It ain't much on the eyes right now but runs smooth as a sewing machine.

It runs so well I've been working it as a puller. Narrow frames aren't my favorite to work on but both of my 124s are two of my best running and easiest operating tractors. I just mow with the other one.

Hey Charlie.....I guess a thick layer of leaves doesn't compare to 7" of the white stuff. I will take the leaves any day though. I don't think there are many cub owners in North Carolina that even own a snow blower/thrower....maybe a misplaced yankee or two.

Marlin: Ranger Buck lives here (bottom of the TOPICS page). He may have been here from the inception of the Forum. I just thought he needed some fresh air.
You've become the clipart guy!

Hey Wayne,
Does a snow "pusher" count in tarheel country?
Remember this 7" we got back in January?

Do you get good traction without chains on those carlisle tru-powers?

Could you post some pics of your exaust setup?

Hey Charlie, Keep it up you way. We got plenty of time for real winter. BYW, it was pushing 70 yesterday, in the 30's today.

Marty-

I haven't forgotten but these guys know snow. Last year was a hard winter for these parts as well. I'm sure a lot of guys around here would liked to have had snow removal equipment. The snows were gone in a week or so though if I remember correctly. Being a southerner I don't understand why people live in such cold climates. It sure makes for some great pics though.

Leaf removal is a bigger problem for me. I hauled seven loads to the woods with cub and large yard trailer today. I took my backpack blower to the woods with the first load and left it. When I got there I'd back up and the blower empties the trailer in under a minute. I load the trailer using two leaf rakes and that takes about 5 minutes. It's a pretty fast way to move a large amount. The trip there and back is the most fun especially coming back in high gear.

It is -20 degrees here in Idaho . never seen so cold before turkey. its headed South East though. Only the 70 would start easy today.

Frank C. Angel supllies me with lots of kitty and other type clipart. I wouldn't object if they were to be put in the clipart section.

Charlie P. We've only had the chilly and wet weather. Thank goodness for that.

Dennis F. I mowed everyone's (nearby neighbors) lawns about three weekend ago. The lawns have stayed nice and low since. Now I need to be able to take the deck off the 125 and get the snow removal crew ready. Between weekend work and weather this hasn't been done yet.
