Yea but YOURS is turned the wrong way !

Man this place has dried up over the years.
What time do the inmates get to use the internet ?

Digger - You still expecting the 15" white stuff ?
I want video of "Blackie" doing his thang !

Charlie P. Oh, man... I just checked the MTD site and found the other price. I checked using a 1250 deck. Still kinda pricey for such a small piece of metal. Must be the paint. Oh... also, do you have the 3/16" x 1 1/4" spirol pin for the Original clutch at CC Specialties? If so I'll be ordering a couple from you.

KENtuckyKEN... The hole on Charlie's looks bigger too. A Value Added item.

Marlin - That's called "pre-worn" for that feels good custom fit.

I'm glad you're brave enough to say Charlie has a big hole ... I'd never say that ... in public!

Marlin,

That "IS" the one you gifted me!!!
biggrin.gif

Edit:

I should have taken a pic of it before the ball peen went to work on it,,,
The only way to describe it would be a metal tab with a wallered out busted hole sticking out the side of a pretzel,,,
It Definitely took an underside deck ride!!!
Got it all straightened out and welded up wallered hole for a redrill,,, The pic shows the 1/4" pilot hole, still have to step it up to 3/8"
That's why "Charlie's Hole is BIGGER"

Does that spirol pin tool work on gear drive rear couplers or just the hydro rear coupler? I have always used an air hammer on my narrow frame gear drives, but that looks pretty slick.

Jeremy,
I believe it will work on either tractor types.
It is designed to remove the pins from any shaft up to the diameter of the hole in the tool.
For more info see the instruction sheet Charlie posted back on Friday, October 28, 2016 - 04:44 pm.

Rich W.

The pic that Richard W. posted below is for gear drives, the hydro tools are scheduled to ship in the next week or so.
The one below will work on hydros, but caution has to be taken to get the center pin perfectly aligned before the spirol pin is removed.

Already ate up all the deer tenderloin.
How about a 2 lb. hamburger instead!

Jason - YOUR IN TROUBLE!!!!!!!
1 - Take a look at Charlie's pic of the Brand Spanking New Idler Ratchet.
2 - Look at the area where the hole is located.
3 - Notice it's not laying really flat on that surface he has it laying on (looks like foam).
4 - It's not laying flat because it has a "slight" bend about an inch from the back.
5 - It has a slight bend so it aligns with the angle of the pulley it mounts next to.
6 - If you don't have the bend it'll likely not fit well in your slot at the front, and it will probably bind and bend when you try to push it back into the lock position.
7 - Now you're beginning to see why it costs what it costs.
8 - Now if someone could just post a pic from the top of the Idler so you could see the bend.

(under edit) Gol-dern-it Guys - you're making me hungry with those food pics. It's lunch time here on the left (BLUE) coast so I'm grabbing something to eat.

Hey Charlie - just got this from my son. Been looking for 30 years for one of these instead of that combined version for the 1x8/9 and Quiet Line. I don't have a scanner so I can't send the entire manual to post in the Manual section. It would be an H... of a lot of pics if I tried that way. Notice it even lists the 169 on the cover which didn't happen until 1974.

Hydro,

With tri-square on pulley bracket and protractor on frame cross member the oLe wore out 149 mule drive gave an exact 10 degree reading for the bend,

Jason - I thought it was closer to 12 degrees. Somethins probably still not right. Did you use a nylock nut on the outside? Include a thin-little spring washer (so it doesn't rattle/clang) or just a slight gap, so the bolt in the hole can rotate when you push the ratchet?

Charlie must be out fooling around in his new snow.
