I thought some of you northerners and mid-westerners would get a kick out of my wood shed. We just don't have the need yall have for firewood here in the south. This is more than I'll need for the entire winter and is roughly two and 1/2 cords. This probably wouldn't last some of yall a month.

This is the back side of my little shed. The red tank is garden rainwater. I made the end wall from two old/used doors destined for the landfill.

Thanks Kraig-

It isn't much but it's all I need. Here's what it looked like about 3 weeks ago.

You see the end view of the water tank here. It's amazing how fast firewood work can go. I stacked every stick one cub load at a time. It's small scale but also one of those things I really enjoy doing in the fall...especially after a hot summer.

Wayne, there is something very satisfying to the soul when one processes firewood. I love to see stacks of firewood.

I prefer to process my firewood in the spring before it warms up. That way it has all summer to dry. Also, my firewood processing area looks too empty after a winter of burning it and as I've already mentioned, I love to see stacks of firewood.

Charlie, how much do you cut in one session? I would think that the exhaust would get too thick to breath in a hurry in there...

Kraig-

Maybe breathing that exhaust explains a few things...?

Working firewood in the spring makes all the sense in the world. I usually have enough wood that's already seasoned to last until the fresher stuff will burn well. This year will be close.

Wayne that looks like a nice supply for what you need.

My pile after I stacked it turned out to be 20 feet wide and 24 feet long and average4.5 feet high.

Pictures tomorrow

Kraig that is sooo true about fire wood processing being satisfing to the soul.

Kraig,
That's in the back part of the building with the 18W 14T opening.
Drive in, raise the load, shut the forklift off, cut wood, back out and get more and repeat, LOL
I figure we'll burn more wood this year since I'm planning on heating 12,000 square feet instead of 4K last year.
Time will tell I spose.
I do know that it's nice having the shop heated!!!!!
I get to move out of my 14x24 hole to the 50x80.

That's pretty cook Kraig! Good luck! Your shop is great, having a fork lift around to move logs is pretty cool too. You do know I am NOT going to tell the wife about the sight above. Sorry man!

Saving my $$$ for another cub. Don't need to do any more decorating yet!

Charlie, Nice looking new front. I realise you are an internet business, but the front looks business friendly..get much walk in business??

Allen, if he wasn't so far north I'd be an occasional walk in customer. Then again, he'd probably lock the place up when he saw me coming.

Sorry Kraig - your right!

Hmmmm.... I did that once to the neighbour, locked the door. Never seen him back again! Think that was the wrong thing to do??
