Doug - Yes, please email me the phone number for the guy in Shreve Ohio (rear diff issue - spiders). Thank you.

Matt - you really hit the nail on the head. It would'a taken me about 10,000 words to describe the differences between an "A" and "AQS".

Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - do you happen to have a few pics of a K301AQS, K321AQS or K341AQS. I think it would help Jason and Levi out a whole lot.

Charlie - did you see this one? Says "Nice Condition". Looks to me like a nice paint job, but also looks like there is a problem with the front seal. Also says "spot weld on gear arm looks like it was rewelded". I assume this is referring to the yoke being welded to the handle. What a shame. I've seen this a few times. Just why the heck do people do that instead of replacing the roll pin?

There are a bunch of photos of a K301AQS in David Kirk's Building a Hot Rod Kohler PDF file

And here are some of a K321AQS from a 1450 that Chris Bennett refurbished:

I located the replacement part for the UD-6. I am grateful and surprised that I found one. Guessing that someone had a UD-6 that had damage to other components. A little pricey but not unexpected. "Tizzy" has been restored previously and will be once again. When the creeper is replaced she will have all the bells and whistles once again.

KENtuck - you ole such and such - I meant to mention your name. Really glad to see/hear you're back. Please do your best to keep me in line since I stretch things once in awhile. That Creeper is a real shame. At least he did mention it looked like it was rewelded (hahaha).

Kraig - Oh Great One - Actually THE GREATEST ONE (no matter the Charlie comment tag line) - you really are the GREATEST. Now Jason and Levi can see all the modernization details Kohler brought to us with the AQS engine back in the 1970's.

Jason and Levi - just to add onto Matt G's info about the AQS, you can see that big muffler box on the front on the engine in the pics Kraig posted. The tailpipe goes out the front on the Quiet Line tractors like the 1450 mentioned, instead of out the right side of the tractor on the 149 and earlier models.

Andrew Curtis - geez, I'm glad to hear you got a replacement part. That welding and grinding question just didn't sound good to me.

Mr. Hydro -- (choke!) "tailpipe goes out the front"
uhhhh wouldn't that be a "headpipe" or are you just really glad to see me ...
p.s. I'll keep check on your long winded post , kinda miss'em actually.

Hey Marlin,

Jason W. AWESOME!!! Would you please take some measurements and post them? Yours is better than the one I sent you. I had a request for another one of those and that was after I had your request. With measurements then others can "clone" their own Ratchet Idler instead of paying ...

Idler Ratchet. Replaces Part Number IH-59690-C2

Price $33.96
