Oops, sorry Charlie - I guess that was me that started the wrong direction.

Don T - IH didn't make a sickle bar. They had a Haban unit they paired with CC units and the one in your picture sure looks like a Haban to me. I've not see one with a white cutter that I recall but I'm really not knowledgeable as others on here when it comes to the sickle bars. If you look in the Manuals thread there is an IH Attachment section that has manuals for the Haban Sickle Bar mowers. If you don't have any stickers on yours to identify the model you might be able to figure it out from the manuals posted there.

Not mine Guys ; I got an email last night saying it is a 402 E for a wide frame. It looks rusty and I have no idea what it would take to get it working or if all the parts to install it are all there.let see what he thinks it is worth . Some guys think this stuff is made of GOLD.

Thanks for filling me in .

Morning folks,! I was thinking about what it would be like to have finally finished the model 72. Well, there would still be adjustments and fine tuning to work in, and lighting to be thought of. I was unhappy with the fact that I would not be working specifically on the garden tractor. But I realized I have a nice hydraulic pump to perhaps rebuild, and affix to the tractor. Next, I really should go over the nice 38" mower deck, and paint that as well. Needless to say, I have plenty to do once the model begins assemble in the spring, and wont miss all the 4 years of paint prep work I have into this tractor for a while.

Sorry for all the rattle, the whole project has been something to think about.

What is "crocus cloth" soaked in oil?

Charlie, because you love us! even if we are disfuncional

Reminder:

Check and change your HyTran, especially if your machines are exposed to the elements.

I was working on one last night that had spent some of it's life outside. Hyd. lift, Power steering, and hydro were sluggish..........because the charge pump won't pump PEANUT BUTTER!!!!!!! Boy was it nasty in there, looked like off brand hyd. fluid that would not absorb the water, made a real mess.

Fleetguard HF6096 filter and 7 qts. of CIH Hy-Tran and all is well again!!!!

As has been said here 100 times, if you are having hydro issues, change the Hy-Tran and filter and see what happens!!!!
