It's simple, Charlie.
Just shim on top of the bolt so you get the proper clearance.

I even lucked out and found new w/p bolts a my dealer a few years back.
You guys have a great day, I'm off to A/J's....
Film at eleven!!

Charlie-

I'm surprised to hear you in need of a mower. When you only have two weeks of summer you'd think the grass wouldn't bother growing LOL.

.

I usually use the 8 ft. wide yeller one, but there's spots where smaller is better.

Thanks Charlie, I just wasn't sure if all the 44 inch decks were the same, I put them on my 1200 and dad's 1450. Nice loader!

Frank, I got a 123 grill and hood that would look great on that!

Thanks, Earl. It began life as a 100 and I have the hood/grille parts that came with it. Tonight I'm thinking stock class puller. That's my problem with these old Cub Cadets - once they're here I don't want them to leave. "everybody needs a little job".

I know the feeling! I got too many and looked at a 108 today at a garage sale. They pulled it as I was looking it over. Family called and said keep it. Decent shape though, I gave my # just in case they sell, or want to get more than just a qa36 or it!

Charlie,

Take a flap wheel to the top of the axle housing until the sleeve has just a little bit of clearance, then tighten the bolt down good and tight. With the sleeve polished on tyhe wire wheel, and all greased you will be amazed at the improvement.

If you encourage the bolt to turn in the sleeve you wallow out the spindle holes and the steering gets sloppy.

While cussing under the hood of my truck, I decided to take a break and look at the 44a deck. Much as I suspected, glazed spindle belt and frozen idler pulley arm. The pulley bearing is shot and one of the rivets is gone. Decided I'll get this one set and switch it back to dad's 1450 then go thru mine and put back on my 1200. At least the spindle bearings are fine.

Got my mower deck finished and re-installed. Now I just need the rain to stop! Been wet all weekend, so maybe tomorrow after work I'll attack the jungle called my yard.

Some pictures of AJ’s Garden Tractor Jamboree have been posted in the Plow Day and Tractor Show Announcement area. Cub Cadets dominated the show!

So I was mowing with the 127 again. It's running well....then suddenly it stumbles and quits. Won't crank. A minute later it fires up and runs fine. Did this last week too. Few moments later it quits again but won't crank, even after a few minutes. Hmmmm. I start wiggling wires. Nope. I start to question ignition switch. I pull the battery and start looking. Sure enough a loose nut on a wire. Snug it up and Presto! Life is good, didn't quit again. I like it when it's simple.

Having a problem getting my 107 running, when I go to make the battery connection there's some serious arcing going and it melting the terminal and getting very hot. I have ordered a new harness be that the original one is in bad shape and the Voltage Reg. Is not hooked up. I am going to try to install harness myself but not real confident. I am located between Madison and Milwaukee wi. If there is someone in the area that could help please let me know. Thanks

Tim D., are you buying paint in quarts or spray cans? I did mine with a quart of white and a quart of yellow. If doing spray cans - you'll need more than a few, the yellow spray cans don't cover worth _ _it!

Tim S., you can do it! Download the "print" for your tractor from this site, and then connect the dots! Take your time and snap pictures during the removal of the old one, they can help during the install. link to print,
