Should have same hook up, just might have to swap the rod from the pedal to the rear end from one style to the other....

Earl F. Two things... Does the hydro rear end that you took along last fall have the external brakes? If so then you just need to swap the broken axle and housing . Second thing... I'll check with Mike B. for a good hydro rear end with the external brakes if you want. If he has one then I'll pick it up for you.

It doesn't matter, internal or external, just swap the whole rear end. Both stop the tractor, and QL tractors came factory with both......

Marlin, the one has external and only 1 axle shaft still in it. I don't have the roller nearby right now to see which it has. I'll end up using that one and just do the pump swap like Steve said. Instead of just removing the axle I'll grab the whole thing in case I need to swap brake hook ups. Only thing is the chassis is 30 miles from me currently, with 5 of my other units and parts. Will have to get this week, hopefully with my own truck...

Earl F. I've located two rear ends for you. Both have just what you need. You'll only have to swap out the pump.

Brian,

I don't know about having an umbrella like that, with those dangly fringes hanging around the edges.
I wouldn't mind one with a big ole' IH on it!

I wonder what that umbrella bolts up to?
It appears the upper connection is near the air filter. I hope it's not hooked to the gas line!

Guys,
Cletus Earles (also part of this forum) has been helping me with advice regarding my clutch problem with my 1200. The OEM 3 prong clutch plate shattered. I'd been having problems for quite a while with the clutch not releasing, having to grind to get into gear. No amount of adjusting the nut at the bottom of the leverage flange helped. Anyway, just finished replacing the 3 prong clutch plate with a solid one with the drive shaft guide bearing already on the plate. Didn't work, same problem not "clutching" maybe even worse. I don't know what to do now! Would appreciate any help. I went with my grandfather in 1978 to buy this new, and I want to keep using it.

Marty,

Somewhere on line I have seen an umbrella, supposedly garden tractor size, that is white, with the big ol' IH on it. I don't remember where but I think it was around $200. That would probably be today's IH cost for the accessory.

As far as the mount, I am sure the IH engineers addressed your concerns. The photo is of a narrow frame tractor; a machine of which I have no knowledge

Lee C. Is there any way that you could post some pictures of the clutch?
