Brian, yes the IH 3 point rear lift is operated by the same mechanism as lifts the mower deck, snow blade, snow thrower, etc., on the 124 and all the IH built Cub Cadets.

Bill J,

Yes, the turning plow will work well for digging potatoes. We used ours to dig potatoes for years. Much nicer that using a pitchfork.

JOEL G. - I went back and checked ALL your posts for the last seven days. You haven't asked any questions, but much to your credit, you answered many from other people. Sorry, not interested in owning/running an Internet forum. But You should buy IHCC.com... then I can post comments on YOUR Forum about what a great company IH really was up till around 1982 when the ag economy went south.

Far as knowledge about IH products, well, I ran my first CC, a '63 Original 51 years ago right about now, ran my first letter series Farmall, a '51 M about 55-56 yrs ago.... it's parked out in the shop right now. And I rode with Dad hauling livestock in mostly IH trucks from the time I was 5-6 yrs old almost every weekend during the school year and even more often during summer break, everything from CO-190's to Emeryvilles. When I got old enough to have a chauffeurs license I even drove a few IH trucks, S2200's, TranStar II's, LoadStars, etc. So yeah, I have a LOT more IH knowledge than just Cub Cadets.

Kraig...You're right about doing the math over the years, doesn't hit as hard that way. I think the last set I bout I paid around 35-40 bucks. That tells you how long it's been since I bought them. Now it's just kinda hard to swallow a $100.00 for a set. I guess that's what happens when you own "VINTAGE" equipment. LOL

CC stuff is pretty highly priced in general...

The mule belt for my newer 2146 was $30 at the local dealer...

Sticker shock goes away when you realize how long the stuff will last...

Not only did my local cub cadet dealer NOT know how to look up the part number for a breaker points rod but even after I provided it to her she said it doesn't exist and that I was likely mistaken...

And people wonder why online shopping has put brick-n-mortars out of business...

Brian E, that's why it's best to use the sponsors above. You'll get the right part, likely faster and cheaper...
