So we added a small block wall around the feeding area the other day and it seems the Bluejays have gotten the hang of snatching a sunflower seed and using the inner edge of the wall as a cracking station, LOL
They hop down, grab one and hop back up, turn around and use the blocks to crack it open, LOL

Frank, very nice!

Interesting day yesterday. While driving back from the cabin I spotted a Badger along the road. Wasn't able to get the good camera out in time as it was packed in the trunk.

Was only able to get a couple of photos with the cell phone. This one turned out ok.

Then at home I was walking around the yard picking up some fallen branches before mowing and I jumped a fawn that was laying in the tall grass along the edge of the yard in the ditch. I went in and told my wife and daughter and got the good camera then went looking to find it. It was standing in my driveway and when it saw us it ran along the driveway towards the far side of the yard. I got an action shot with the telephoto. Then it settled in some under plantings under some birch trees. After we got a few photos we backed off and it ran back to the ditch. I mowed the side of the yard away from the road and the paths through my field first. As I was mowing back towards the yard from one of the field paths I spotted it with it's mother heading north through the garden.

Then my wife went out for a walk and spotted a snapping turtle along the road just north of our property. The shell on this one was about 16 inches long.

Charlie, very cool moth! That fox does look worried, might be from all those eagles you have hanging around.

Anybody know what kind of vine this is? It is growing wild under my apple tree.

It also has some pods growing on it.

Here is another pic with the bloom in three stages. From right to left; just before the bloom, one in bloom, and one past bloom stage.
