Don T, Your pretty quiet these days, hope your felling better.

Charlie, there are TWO FAQ's? Who would have thought.....He he he Thanks for the heads up! I'm on it.

We have in the past shown pictures of Mrs. Green pants and the teenie booper on the QL series. How about the June Cleaver of IH refigerators Irma Harding.(Irma Harding I.H., get it?)

Or my new favorite the naughty hippie chick from International Harvester Solar division.

Is there a breakdown of serial numbers by model # of the red ones?

Mike,

Called the guy up, he decided he wouldn't take any less. He thinks he has a "one of a kind" red & white 482. What he has is a red "something" with white 18 series panels. I told him I'd get back to him in a couple of days if he couldn't sell it.

Re 122: starter won't shut off.
Thanks to those who gave me tips. It's ok now, but I have no idea what the problem was. I pulled the reg cover, but found nothing welded up. Checked all the wiring against the correct diagram. Replaced the solenoid. Took the old one apart expecting to find it stuck, but it wasn't.

Some day's it funny to hear what people "Think" they have when it comes time to sell it eh Norm? Too bad it didn't work out for purchase the first time. Hopefully he realizes in a week or so that all he has is a red tractor with some miss matched panels on it that not a lot of people are interested in. Would it be rude if he did call back saying he still has it for sale that you stick by your lower offer and give him the take it or leave it tone? I do that at work often. People try to nickel and dime me on rates for moving freight around the country. Way I look at it, I give them the rate the first time I want, they want to pussy foot around and try to low ball me and pull the wool over my eyes that there are LOTS of dependable people out there to move - I let them go for it. Honestly, about 65% or more of them come back complaining about the job the other guy did and can't understand...."He had such a good price..." I tell them again if they would have taken the first deal I offered they wouldn't be in that position. Like you, you make a reasonable offer and willing to show up with the cash to pay for it - well, sucks to be him when he has to sit on it for another few weeks!

Hope you get what you want in the end and by your terms.

Here's few more pics of my cubs. I also have a 1250 which was my father's for many years.

Gary i have had 2 regulators on two differnt tractors do that same thing. One corrected itsself after disconecting the battery cable. The other one remained contacts closed. The parts guy replaced them for me.

Morning all. On the subject of owner GOLD lol. The 125 that I wanted is still for sale locally and now has over 2812 people look at the tractor and no buyers yet. Add says as is not running and $1200.00 lol.I sent him my offer again and Waite to see if he bites. Loader has given me one problem with tearing the pto belt up because of an alignment issue. The pto pulley and pump pulley don`t align up correctly and tomorrow I will be taking it to get modified to work . The belt would wear on one side and then break. Its going to be nice to finish the 129 and finish installing the new decals that Charlie sent me. I have a bunch of work to do with the loader and it will be nice to have it finished.Hope you all have a great Cub Day

Have 1450 with what appears to be a replacement engine. Engine is painted black and has "shoulder" mount dipstick tube(tube just pushes into oil pan, does not bolt on). Per the parts breakdown this engine was on tractors after ser# 584059. This tractor is ser# 567547. The ser# tag appears to have been changed over from the previous engine. The plate with the spec# appears to be original to this engine. Did replacement engines have ser#'s? The K181 in my 73 has the spec# plate but no ser#. The ser# on the 1450 starts with 719(rest is un readable) which would match the tractor ser# closely, but the black paint and oil fill tube have me wondering. Thanks!

Jerry B., oh I don't know I've not tried to count them recently. If I had to guess, I'd say a few hundred thousand photos give or take a few thousand. I think it's more a matter of knowing where to look in my archives than remembering what all I have. Though I do remember many specific photos, those are usually the hard ones to find, go figure.

I own an "original" Cub Cadet SN 8953. It has a two blade mower with synchronous belt. I think it may have the wrong size gauge wheels. What was the original diameter of the guage wheels?

Charles, WELCOME!

I don't know off hand what size the gauge wheels are but I have a set at home that I can dig out and measure. They are on the small side.

Don, thanks! That saved me a trip into the rafters of my shed.

Hey Guys,

I need Help please! I embarked on a project to swap the hydraulic lift valve, hoses and cylinder from my 1450 to my 1650. What is the easiest way to get the cylinder off of its mounts? I was hoping to get it all out without having to disconnect the hoses but I have pretty much given up on that. The steering column gets in the way. Could someone help me? What is the best way to do this?

Thanks!

Chad
