Just in case no one has ever seen a pile/nest of Original wiring harnesses in one spot!

came home with a 127 today. original paint, only mod was the key was disengaged and a kill switch and button are used operate the starter mechanism. it sat for 2 years in a storage unit and family members told me to pick it up. i'm gonna sell my snapper once i get this to fire up.

any problems known with the 127 hydrostatic? it does leak fluid but they believe one of the transfer lines has a hairpin crack and needs replaced.

Theodore - I can tell ya they don't like hitting garage corners at WOT ... don't ask ! Otherwise they're a good workhorse.

Eddie; We think Al Is only green because money is green.
Theodore you will really love the 127. I have used 2 and still have one (restored). Had one with elect. lift. Should have kept it.

this has the hydrollic lift. just push on the switch and it goes up or down.

i remember a couple things he said about it. the belt is shorter and rigged tow work, it leaks (previously mentioned), key overrided (prevously mentioned), just a couple odds and ends.

i'll grab soem pics later. cant do much with it sitting on my 4x8 trailer and the wife has the only way to secure the trailer so it doesn't pitch when i try to get the tractor off.

i need another truck

theo

Theodore; Is your 127 lift electric hydralic?? I saw apicture of one that looks like it has an electric motor on the lift ram.

I was out working on my garage door surround prepping for a new door hopefully Wednesday and a truck stopped in the street. Old guy points toward the house and says "I've got a 102". Took me a second to figure out he was pointing to my CCO/loader I moved out of the garage into the yard. Said he bought it used over 20 years ago because the original owner bought it to turn his grain elevator. After he found out the rear PTO turns the wrong direction he wanted to sell it. So this guy buys it and has mowed with it for years. He said it was all original condition except for the gas tank. He doesn't live but a few miles away and said if he had it loaded in his truck he'd bring it by the house sometime. I told him I very much wanted to see it. I also mentioned if he ever felt like parting with it I was interested. He sounded like he was more fond of Gravely tractors... but was pretty proud of his 102.

He was impressed with the loader on the Original too.

Morning all. Cleand the drive of snow on sunday and did a little clean up today on the 149 powered with my loader 12hp .

For those of you that have wider rear wheels, what do you use for rims. Are they just rims from newer cubs or other manufacturers?

Don-
Just as a heads up, a leaky rear axle seal can be a sign of a worn axle bushing in the axle carrier (tube).

Something to check I guess.....

TOM - When Cub Cadets were first built the standard rear wheel/tire was a Good Year 6-12 turf tire mounted on a 5-1/2" wide x 12" dia wheel. During the 70/100 production the option was made of a 23-8.50 X 12 tire mounted on a 7" wide x 12" dia. wheel. During the 1X00/1X50 production the option was added of a 23-10.50 X 12 on an 8-1/2" wide wheel and on the 982's produced in '80 & '81 they offered 26-12.00 X 12 tires on a 9"wide x 12" dia wheel. The wheels all have the same center disc welded in and all bolt onto the rear hubs so You can run whatever size tire You want. And since the rear wheels were made to a Tire & Rim Manufacturer's standard spec. even 12" dia wheels from other L&G or garden tractors will fit but the rear track or spacing between the tires may vary.

SO.....Answer to Your question depending on what model CC You have is "Yes, and Yes"

Art, is that bearing on the outside of the axel by the grease fittin. Can you test it like a ball joint in a car? there doesn`t seem to be no play with the rear wheel.I`ll take off the wheel and axel next and find out what the seal is.

Well i guess i might as well drain the rear end because i think there is water in the rear end.

1 more question, Can i remove the 3 bolts on the plate that holds the seal? Thanks Guys

Don, you could but I don't think you want to. You don't need to remove the bolts to replace the seal.

Hey guys; I finally got some seat time on the 125 for snow removal duties over the weekend and I have to say she performed amazing. I hoping we get more to play in!!
