Harry, got any Hi-Ho Silver paint you can spare for that lift lever??

David,
I've had good results using the "almost-chrome" color of powdercoat from Eastwood

once it is on, don't clearcoat it, but rather polish it with buffing compound-

eastwood and harbor freight both have inexpensive coating setups available. they have very close matches for cub yellow and white, too.

Charlie - I'm with Jeff on that 12 pack. Hey, make sure you keep the boxes and use them to keep the hydro filters separated.

Ok so ive a question. On the 42" mower decks you have a lock nut then a washer then the mower blade but under it theres a friction disc . What is the purpose of this disc and do you really need them ? Id always wondered...

Amy,
The little disc is there in case you hit something like a rock or stump,it will absorb the shock and make the blade move. But that will only work prolly when the deck was a few years old,40 y.o. ones the blade is prolly rusted to the spindle.

But, Lew, if the blades are removed for sharpening (properly) they shouldn't be rusted to the spindle.
