I assume you are going to have him puddle some AL over the "mess" so it can be recentered? The drive hubs are castings and may be difficult to weld well, especially over a broken steel bolt.

I hope that you can get it fixed, otherwise, it's just time to wait on a replacement....more loader PS time

Thanks guys, The guy I will have do the welding is the same guy who did all the work to build (welds) on my 129 loader. I have faith that if it can be done he can do it.His boss owned one Cub when my loader was built and now he has 6 and is building a loader , his big truck shop has all the welding equipment one could ask for.I think it`s worth a try and I will have one sent in soon so I will have a spare.

Quick question. When I pull the motor on my 1650 to replace the ISO mounts, I will have the oil pan off the engine for alignment as I do the cradle mod.

My question is - for an engine that is some 36 years old, should I remove the balance gears as a preventative measure? Is this something I can do with the oil pan off or is it more involved than that.

Sorry about my slowness in getting this tractor going, but I've got a lot of irons in the fire, but the 1650 is on the radar...

BILL - I pulled the gernade gears from a K301 without pulling the crankshaft out but it wasn't easy. Some people have broken the second gear which is the tough one to remove them. I really don't like that because of the chance of large iron particles contaminating the inside of the engine.

To do the job right you should disconnect the rod cap from the conn rod and push the piston up the cylinder and remove the blower housing back plate and pull the crankshaft out.

Chances are that the gears are still the original 36 yr old gears and the needle bearings are worn, it's a good idea to remove them.
 
I took my first ride on a HYDRO yesterday. I didn,t expect all that speed. Feels like it,s twice as fast as a JD 212. I drove it over by the air compressor. The compressor has a 4cyl White industrial engine 175cfm. What color is the seat cover and the grill supposed to be p?

Thanks for the pictures. I have the grill but is is very rusty, held on by 1 spring hook and some wire. The grill was cad plated?
