Jason - ALL READERS ! If you own a drill press for saftey sake get a VICE ! I've got a reminder on my left hand of how much torque a drill press has when something hangs in the bit.
There's a knuckle missing now so it only bends half way at the second joint. circa 1976

Mike G - Yea I have an idea ... leave the beer in the fridge the next time you work on your cub.
The 5 pounds you half way mentioned is because of the compression release doing it's job.

Thanks for the welcome and advice Roland B.!

"As another suggestion, once your tear down the S/G, remove the old bearing and take it to a Bearing Supply Shop. I am sure they can find a replacement."

A Bearing Supply Shop? I am in New Hampshire, we have a Walmart! lol

James - You probably had a lot of stores before wally moved in ... seems they like to run everyone out of town. Some autoparts store should be able to cross it for you. There's always the SPONSORS too if you can wait for shipping.
Between wally and Lowes we've lost a lot of good stores with good customer service !

Does anyone know where I can get replacement grommets for the oil lines that go thru the shroud on an M18 engine? It appears to get the grommet, you have to buy the entire oil line. I've searched hi & lo but can't seem to locate a source. I only need (2).

Norm - In your line of work and you can't find any ?
Think electronic/electrical suppliers as another source. BGMicro (which is in TX), Digi-Key, Mouser, Radio Shack (TX again).

I brought home a Johnson Loader this morning. It's a little "weathered", but the price was right. I'm going to fit it to my 149. It's going to take some work to refurbish; it came off a wheelhorse, so the undercarriage won't work at all.

Does anyone have some hi-res pics or drawings of an undercarriage for a wide frame?

Okay... what's the trick... how do I get the flywheel nut off a K241? It is a right hand thread, is it not? So, it is clock-wise to come off? I think I have moved it a couple of times, but it sure feels like it is getting tighter. Can I put an impact wrench on it?

Ken,

Not any of the correct size, and I've just checked those suppliers you gave me. Size is not even close. Needs to fit a hole .875" in dia., inside hole .375".

Thanks for the info, though.

Norm
