Richard T is the spring tension bar missing in the slot on your mule drive?

125 Hydro rebuild - Is the bolt torque for the motor swash plate allen wrench type bolts (2 of them) really 67 ft lbs or does my manual have a typo? I don't remember when I took it apart, are the two holes for these bolts slightly countersunk into the pump case?

125 hydro rebuild - After searching all the manuals I found the right one. It also says motor swash plate torque to 67 ft lbs. I hope this doesn't screw something up....

Good Heavens, Richard! Very nice tractor. I see folks are serious about the IH Cub Cadets around here! That is great!

Quick question: anyone run or have ran a 50a deck on a 128 or 129? If so, how good or bad did the 12 hp tractor/engine handle it?

Bill sometimes I am not sure of your "quick question"

But to answer you, I ran a 50 inch deck just fine on a 12 horse engine gear drive, but the engine was strong and ALL belts PROPERLY adjusted and in line.

Bill J.
I have ran a 50A on my 129 for the last 8 years. It is a hydro, you go whatever speed it will handle. Lawns vary so a definite answer would be hard. My lawn is not plush, well fertilized, thick, and groomed so I have no problems.

Morning all. Picked up a creeper on the cheap and wondering if the input shaft can be repaired. Below is a pic. Obviously need to get the spirol pin out but not sure about the wallered out hole. Looks like maybe a bearing froze and they scratched up the shaft driving it off. Anyway, curious if anyone has any thoughts aside from popping for another shaft.

Terry, got a good machine shop close by? I'd have'em cut off the bad end and replace the end with a new welded on section/piece.. I wouldn't weld the hole as the filler metal will be to hard and cause the end to break. imho...
