Anybody know what tractor this model ported hydro came out of?

90-1226

Thanks

Wyatt-

Thanks for the info, I'll have a look at the breather. I wouldn't really care about that smoke, except it smokes out the exhaust when you rev it quickly, and I want to restore this tractor this summer, so I'd like to fix this. While I have the engine apart to fix the oil leak I'll check out tolerances on everything and rebuild it if I have to. I just hope it isn't too expensive to have the machine work (block .010 over, crank .010 under) done. I'm a little reluctant to rebuild an engine that runs as nice as this, except for the smoke.

re my 1450 with broken driveline
here is my driveline setup - universal, custom driveshaft, coupler-flexible disk-coupler

I hope this picture post works!

re my 1450 again
as I mentioned last Friday, the driveshaft broke inside the coupler

The swinging driveshaft also broke the coupler attached to the hydro

An interesting feature of this 1450 is the square driveshaft, and the modified steering column(intentionally? or caused by driveshaft?)

Re my 1450 again: sorry for the previous post error.

As I mentioned last week, the custom made drive shaft broke inside the coupler

The driveshaft then chipped the coupler on the hydrostatic

An interesting feature is the square drive shaft. I also noticed that the steering column is worn - looks like the previous owner did this to permit the shaft to pass by the steering column. Not sure if this will be a problem in the future

here is the universal off the engine. I am thinking that I will use a universal off the hydro as well. Does anyone have a tip of how to measure how long the driveshaft should be between the engine (kohler series II 17hp) and hydro?

As I mentioned, there was an arm dangline from the brake system and a broken vertical cast arm off the tranny. As Keith Ehrecke pointed out, it articulates a plunger that works the tranny break system. I am not sure if I will need to fix this or how. Any advice would be welcome!

Finally, here is my baby. I am hoping to get it fixed soon. Thanks for any advice.

Mark K-

You can probably straighten that brake pull rod. Any other parts you can get from the sponsors.

WOW Mark-
I like my rubber-isolated driveshaft more & more everyday.

I hope that I am not out of place by asking this. If I can close a deal on a 125 w/deck that is located near Plymouth, Indiana would there be someone that would have room to pick it up and bring it to Red Power Roundup In Mt. Pleasant? I would be willing to help with gas money. If asking here isn't appropriate then feel free to "Poof" this. It is a running outfit so loading wouldn't be much of a problem. T.I.A.

Hi All - I found a 126 & 1000 in the Want-Ads today. Both have been sitting outside under a tarp & are rusty. Both ran supposedly last fall, but I highly doubt it. The 126 has a creeper gear decal but there is no lever & I have no idea how to tell if the creeper gearbox is even present, it also has a electric/hydraulic lift to lift the IH snow blade. The 1000 is in much better shape & has a 48" cutting deck. The seller just wants them gone but these guys need a lot of work - it looks like every bolt is rusted/welded on. Decisions, decisions...

Ya know! This CRAP is gettin real old real quick! 3 1/2" in the last freakin hour! And 6" since yesterday morning before this!

Wyatt,
was it you that swapped 10.50" rears for 12" wide rears on the same rim? or did you have the wider SGT rims. i've been thinking about the 24"x12"x12" Titan/Carlisle AT 101's at cedar rapids tire wondering if they would fit on my old 10.50 rims. the overall height seems like it would be OK for mowing with.

Hey Digger- Put those cubs to work and dig a catfish pond!! Charge admission to fish. More money for the cub fund. Then thank the rain.(We're only 9 inches short for the year)

Nate-
Check Carlisle's website for sure, but the 24-12-12 tires I have are made for the same width rim as the 10.50 wide tires. FWIW I think even SGT rims are the same width as ones used for 10.50 tires.

Charlie-
Stop sendin' water downstream, the Mississippi here's up quite a bit, I'd like to get some time on the water WITHOUT dodging huge trees

I agree, enough is enough. My garden has been under water for the past 3 weeks and the plants are turning yellow. I belive they are drowning, guess I should have planted rice this year instead.

Anyone from here going to the garden tractor show at Arkansaw Wi. on the 19th of this month?

Charlie & Wyatt....we could have a dam dirt day (earthen dam that is...)to "help" the flood stricken from future disaster. Now who do we know that makes pull type scrapers??????

All you guys up North, remember 1993. That is the year that you sent us so much water that we developed the great flood of 1993 here in St. Louis.

I know several cubs were washed away when the famous house photo happened on that Sunday morning.

There was nothing but a big hole where that house was and where the barns and sheds were.

Hope that does not happen again. Seems to be building just like 1993. Started up stream and headed our way. They are still fixing levees from that and adding new ones.

Even changed the flood maps as a result. Screwed up a subdivision we are the consultants on.

Kraig

Do you have a pic or two showing how to mount the 16A hydraulic pump and associated cylinder?

Picked up one several weeks ago and want to put it on my 122 that I just got FREE from a client.
