Pretty much everyone these days just use this.

Charlie-

You should put the Farmall A/B/C front weights on there too, since they bolt onto a CC rear wheel...

Charlie-

Try again. Those are F Cub front weights, not Farmall A/B/C front weights. If you need a picture of a set, I can take one tomorrow....

My understanding was that the deck I had under my 169, what would have came with an 1864, was the "44GT" deck. I guess I was wrong and evidently haven't been there done that and bought the t-shirt

OK, I think I may have figured something out on my mower deck attachment. To begin with the mower deck hitch (sub frame, hanger assembly) and the deck itself are different than the parts look up drawings for the 1250.

Here is the parts look up drawing:

The longitudinal frame members (part no 9) rise from the front to the hanger locations and then continue in a straight line to the rear ends. On MY assembly, these frame members rise to the hanger locations but then curve back down about 2" to the back attachment locations. What was this sub frame assembly off of? Does anybody know?

Also, my deck is not like the drawing in the part lookup. I found this picture on ebay. It is like my deck (although I can only read 482 on the model tag). What model deck is this? or what is it off of? One thing the center blade is longer than the outer ones.

Thanks for any information or help.

IMO a Farmall weight is a Farmall weight and nit pickin over which is which is useless for the purpose of the page on cubfaq.com.
Kinda like serial number breaks for this and that on Cub Cadets, what's the point? And what's more. Who really cares in the scheme of things, ya get my drift?

Wyatt,

When I first got the 54 I thought, "great a 54GT, I'll throw that under my 782 and go mowing...it'll bolt right on".........then I realized that the 54 was a considerably different animal than the 44/50.......

Wasn't that 44GT you had on you 169 a new shell???? Or was it just a really clean deck?????

Ken,

44 and 50 inch decks use the "hump back" subframe. 38", 42", 48" decks use the straight subframe.

44/50 decks also use a mule drive with angled pulleys, where the 38/42/48 use straight pulleys.
