Been to busy to work on cubs. My son wanted shelter at our campsite because bears are comeing in and tearing up everything left outside. Have got my building useable but a long way from finished.

Luther, good looking building. Is that for storage only or does it also have living (sleeping) space?

Kraig i am going to make one end into sleeping space. My son and friends like to camp and party. So no one drives after the party. Also there is good deer and turkey hunting there, so i might be using it for a hunting cabin. I will be building more on the back and east end later. A bear helped himself to everything there 3 weeks ago, so they don't want to sleep outside. The bear bit holes in my water can and destroyed the trash can.

Well, after 10 ours of searching, we found our "Fuzzy" kitty. She is a rescue cat my kid found abandoned in lot downtown a year and a half ago.. there were three of them, two of which are blind. You'd never know that they were blind, they get around pretty good. Today, Fuzzy, who is kind, got out and wandered off chasing birds or something.. We searched and called for her all day. I decided to go to work and get a infrared camera to try and find her, seeing it was dark... In about 10 minutes of seaching I found her. The missus was a little hysterical, as this is her favorite fuzzball...
I Tried to see if any of them like cubs like Marlin's "Fancy" but all I have to show for that attempt are scratches

Scott T. Angel and I agree. That is one happy to be found little kitty. We're glad to read that you were able to find her.

At first Fancy was scared when I started giving him rides on the Cub Cadets. Hard to believe the little guy is nine and a half years young. Yesterday morning, he rode around with me mowing for over a half hour before he decided to go in an take a nap.

All: I've been almost entirely taken out of my accustomed Cub habits by a project I took on: clearing a neighbor's tree that was toppled by Hurricane Irene. I tell the story of the trunk in the "Firewood" thread; but what is really been taking the time is processing all the wood once it gets back to my property.

As seen in the Firewood thread, most of the main trunk wound up in the following pile:

The "Rest of the Tree" (and some other wood gathered in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene) is in the pile before you, my house is in the back ground:

The full rows have all been gathered since the storm, the short row in front is what had been put up before the storm.

There is some more wood, that didn't come from the big white oak tree at the neighbors, and didn't get put up in the woodpile you see above that still needs to be processed, the view from the rear:

And the view from the front:

I hope to get some shots of the person who has done the better part of the "processing" thus far, the son who is not pictured here (thanks, Kraig):

Kraig,

Great job on the kitchen, looks great!

Jeremiah,

All that wood stacked up makes me tired just looking at it. Good work.
