Charlie, I always thought you had a "snake oil" additive you used in the oil

Yep, sure do!
The Cubs and the old Tahoe with 345K on it before the fire only had the oil changed 3 times since I bought it new in 1999.
I change the oil in a Cub when I bring it home and it never gets changed again.
The old standby 1450 that I had for 10+ years, never puffed smoke and always started at 40 below too!

But as we all know, that snake oil isn't worth anything, LOL

My uncle was an old time sheetmetal worker soldering metal gutters, making duct work, etc. I don't have the skills he had but I've got his tools. 122 tank was leaking around the soldered outlet. Soldered it back up with an old copper iron and, while it's not pretty, it don't leak.

"it's not pretty, it don't leak."

I've said those Exact same words more times than you would believe! Another good one is "it ain't pretty but, it'll hold shell corn"

THANKS FRANK!!!
That is exactly what I needed to read on the Voltage Regulator. Really appreciate the help.

Charlie P. Where do you get the DuraGard oil?

Also... anyone ever try putting 23 x 9.50 x 12 tires on a 23 x 8.50 x 12 rim? I have a chance to acquire a set of Ag tires that size and wonder how well they'll work on the smaller rim.

I vote we all move to Charlie's house!!!

I only get below 85, 4-1/2 months a year if i'm lucky!!

I guess it depends on where you are as to what type of oil you use.
If I used the oil Charlie uses, it would melt and run out all over the ground!

Again Nice solder job, Now what might interest some even more than your leak free 122 tank is the "old copper solder iron".

I can actually say that's even before my time. And maybe if you get a chance, a pic or 2 of old iron and if you used "old torch" as well?

Again thanks 4 pic! Excellent Work!
