Finally got some greenery ready for the boys. They dived in on it!

Come on Louie, don't eat the bowl!

Lester finally got in on the action.

Marty, 'dont eat the bowl'...I've got a cat that licks every plastic bag that comes into the house! Vet had no explanation, so long as he doesn't actually eat the plastic. Another gnaws the edges off cardboard boxes. Got a weird bunch here.

Allen, Selah is a cardboardavore. If we leave a cardboard box out he chews on it.

Another cat we used to have, I called him moonzie, (RIP), loved plastic shopping bags. He didn't eat them but he loved to chew on them and bat at them. I think he just liked the noise they made.

Here's a photo of Moonzie.

I am trying to upload a pic, but it keeps saying my image exceeded the maximum dimensions of 800 x 600 and the pic is only 640 x 480. I am doing the pictures like I have always done in the past.

Marty G. Send the pic to us and we'll give it a try. Then we'll send it back to you.

Before anyone asks, Louie is licking his lips over the grass.

Marty, great to see the boys enjoying the oats! Louie did look like he was going to eat the whole works..bowl and all.

Kraig, Moonzie (RIP) was a handsome fella. Isn't it funny how they each have their own individual quirks?

When Annie was younger, she had a fetish for the newspaper. We couldn't read the morning paper until we had given her the sports section . She would get vicious if she felt she didnt get her section fast enough and would get up on the table to stake her claim and take off with it. Then, after we were done reading the paper, you could go into the dining room and find all the paper scattered all over the floor. Neverfail, when I'm doing the crossword's she'll jump up and lay on it so I can't do it. One morning I gave up and let her have the paper. Not sure how she managed to fold it over on herself, but she did ~ She looks mighty content, huh?

Cathleen,

Thanks for uploading the pic. I still don't understand it. Anyway, her name is Tiger and she likes to chew on cardboard box edges like Kraig's cat Selah. She used to live with us, but went with our daughter when she got married and moved away. I miss both girls.

Let's try another pic of Tiger. This is her with one of her stuffed toys....of course, a tiger!

Marty: If you don't already use it, Kraig's favorite image software can be found here: VuePrint - Free Image Viewer. Using the "resize" feature on the "File" drop down menu, be sure to enter "600" for the HEIGHT of the image, and also check the box for "Preserve Aspect Ratio." Someone else posted this hint earlier, I have simply verified that the HEIGHT must not exceed "600" and using VuePrint is the easiest way I know to meet the criterion. Also note that the file size must be still be under 100 kilobytes, but if you've set the height to "600" that issue usually takes care of itself.

Additional hint: If you've re-sized the print in Vueprint and it still doesn't meet the size requirement, try "open with" Microsoft Paint (it should come up as an option when you right-click your mouse), open the file and immediately save it. For some reason, Paint saves the file 40-50 kilobytes smaller than Vueprint.

Try these two tips, you'll like them . . .

These kitty pictures are fantastic!!!

Bryan M. Alco sure looks proud and very happy to be one of the railroad crew.

A BIG THANK YOU for ALL the pictures. Keep them coming.

Marty, what a cute pic of Tiger with her tiger. lol. Some think kitties like those little toys, because that is what they sell in the stores, but I did notice at petsmart they did have bigger toys for the kitties, but they much prefer toddler size stuffed toys to play with..to get those paws around to hug too, as Miss Tiger shows clearly how to do.!! I bet you do miss both " girls".

Jeff, well Ms. Brooklyn is a girl with an attitude. (giggles)..nothing like letting the world know it too. Too cute how she stuck her tongue out at you when you asked her what she was doing on your cub. Perhaps she totally believes its HER cub? Like Fancy has his own cub and if you ask him, he will go get on it in the garage if need be to show ya. He sure likes helping daddy work in the garage. Oh and on wednesday its trash day and that's HUGE around here. He has to help daddy take out trash and I had to get bags today, so he had to help me, but for some reason he kept complaining, saying " hot"..Hot..yes, little buddy it was darn hot out there today. we have to buy clear plastic garbage bags from the city to put our trash in even if you have trash cans. They are large, but that can get expensive, so I really fill them up and they get heavy, but oh well..hehehe. I make them work for the money.

Bryan, the pics of Alco Da Cat are amazing. Another kitty who isn't annoyed by loud machinery. He is one special little guy. I almost started to cry when looking at the photo's. The pics really overwhelmed me..he is such a special little guy. He IS one of the crew, that is for sure.

Our kitty corner here is really special.

Ed Wells sent me some photo's, not his put some really sweet photos that he came across and thought I would like to share maybe, so I will work to get those up to share with everyone. I got another migraine going on, so haven't been on the comp but to jump on real quick here to check in..so will do that later.

it is so hot. Fancy did holler " MOM"..honestly when we were out haulin trash and the HOT..HOT..to funny. This heat isn't fit for man nor beast. I've been putting out fresh water twice a day for the birds and ground squirrels and they really go through the water and food. When I went to the grocery store the other day they were about out of bird seed. Everyone must be feeding the birds now since its so dry. Thinking there isn't much for them to eat on the ground since everything is drying up. even Fancy can't find fit grass to eat, so guess I should be getting in gear and potting up some oat grass for the kids. I bring it up for Marty and then I dont even do it...bad mommy, very bad mommy.. lol

take care everyone

Hey do any of your guy's kitties talk.. words that you can understand? ours do, I was just wondering if your's do?

Angel

Selah makes a kind of squeaky meow, hard to really describe... Tots does a darn near purrrrfect Star Trek Tribble impersonation.
