Dennis,
The K301 has been in the 100 for over a year and was running perfect before I removed the PTO, this is what has me stumped.
The 100 has parts from a 102 and a 127 on it, I think it should be called a 100227.

Mike Frade,
Sorry for the delay in my response. My wife's cousin passed away and we have been involved with that the past couple of days. After the funeral I drove up to my parent's home and picked up another "O" that was for sale in the area.
The light you asked about doesn't have any numbers. It is an old Farmall combination light. The numbers on the mounting bracket are in the photo. You could find a similar light in some of the Farmall websites.

How do you guys figure the month of manufacture on the "O"s?

Mick: Since you posted the 50th message on the page, the so-called "archive bug" ate your pictures. Try posting them again, they should show up.

Marty, sorry for the families loss. Thanks for taking the time to reply tho.! I have seen a couple different sizes on some of those sites, I'm leaning towards the smaller of those.

And Atlantis is launched ...

Sad day and day's ahead.

The Space Shuttle program has been the best system to date so why drop it , just build new ones !

Kinda like the IH Cub Cadets ... drag out the old blueprints and build them the way they were made that has made them last 50 years !!
Kohlers too !!!

Mick: Nice tractor!

Can we see a close-up of the wheels? The front ones look like Mags from here. I like your exhaust stack the double-decker air cleaner arrangement.

Ken: They don't make Cub Cadets like they used to because most people wouldn't pay $10,000 to own one.

guys, i may be on the wrong topic here, but i need your help. i would like to repower a 1250 cub and to save on shipping cost for the eng. i was thinking of buying the eng. from northern tool, and maybe buying the motor adapter plate and drive shaft adapter and other parts from one of the repower specialist. i need some advice from you pro's and experimenters. turning the wrenches is no problem here but there is no need for me to reinvent the wheel. most fo you guys can direct me to some good sources for what will make this a lot easier. also feel free to direct me to the people who make this stuff. thx

OK Charlie,
It's.....It's..... where's that blasted number? I had it laying right here. Hold on a minute. My wife has been in here.
OK, i'm back. The number is: 8317 now work your magic Charlie!
I'm guessing May of 61' am I close?

There are no records of daily production that I know of, so that maybe a good guess.

According to the chart, there were 2198 cub cadets made in the month of May, 1961. There were 23 working days in May if you only count Monday-Friday. That would have averaged a little over 95.5 per day! In an 8 hour day, that's almost 12 cubs an hour, or one every five minutes. That's production!
