Tom - Who'd you peeoff up there ? Your gas is 64 cents higher than mine ... It must'a been something you did !

Well Ken i must have made someone mad also. Gas is 3.54 here. It should drop another 25c after this week.

gas is 3.64 here. there doing what they can get away with. there making about .30 to.40 cents a gallon here

I think I have you all beat on high price gas. we pay $1.28 L up here and every long weekend the price will go up at least 3 or 4 cents a liter. We also pay hst tax on gas. We are taxed to death

One of the many things that piss me off is remember a few years ago when oil was $150.+ a barrel and gas was under $3.00??? How in the h--- does the F-----g equate? Oil is about $100. a barrel and gas is about $3.50. My ass hurts!

I think this a good conversation board that should be updated as were are now in full summer/Cub Cadet hunting mode and can keep somewhat a track on the fuel prices around the Hunting Grounds.

Tom:
As I understand it, gas price is not pegged to crude price. Refined gasoline futures are bought/sold/traded just like hogs, beans and wheat. Speculators are driving the price up to make a buck or two... Anyone remember the price controls during the Nixon era energy crisis?? Didn't work then and wouldn't work now (we're a "free market" economy....) Face it, we're gonna end up as screwed on the price of gas (energy)as the rest of the world now...

Gas running at $3.74.9 in our area (most stations supplied by Marathon..)

July4, upper central jersey
3.41 + 3.45 at two no-name stations
3.47 at Sunoco and 3.55 at a BP. Bet BP price will be down real soon with those prices within blocks of them.

splain this to me Lucy ...

Marathon went up ten cents while Swifty went down five cents ...

Well whatcha' know, the 4th is over and the gas dropped $.03 already???

Sucks to be us, don't it? Which countries pay less per gallon and what's their lifestyle? Here's poor old Don T., paying even more per gallon, "taxed to death", and living (as I consider myself doing) like a king. "God is great, life is good and people are crazy".

Marathon just went up another dime $3.39.9
Kentucky average now is 0.06 ABOVE national average
