Eric thanks for posting and sharing you cub looks great

The weather was so nice today I got a chance to move some cubs around. A 149 and a 124 have been in my way by giving the cats a hiding place close to the bird feeder. It was a chilly 70* here on February 1st.

That ground hog better watch his stuff tomorrow. I remember he wasn't very nice last year and we had a cold spring.

So before I get deep into it , 1450 quit ,thought itran outta gas. Nope .No spark , anything other tha the basics I should be aware of or on the lookout for specifically to this lil yellow monster .lol?

The first thing I would check is the wiring harness where it plugs into the v/r. I've had issues with that being loose on both a 1450 and a 1650. If it's tight there then the usual coil/points/spark plug checks would narrow the search down.

Hope this helps.

I forgot one other thing to check first...make sure the pto switch on the dash is off.

Pro when on it won't even engage starter so that's not it.coil shows 4 ohms across it. I have ground and 12 volt at coil . I k ow it has points but I have no idea where they are located lol.

I'm betting if you pull the PTO switch, and either check it out with a meter or clean the terminals on it and the plug, your machine will probably fire up.
PTO switches on QL's are the first thing I check and usually find they are the culprit, LOL

Doug I dLd the manual .in didn't see anything about servicing points.I'll look again. Charlie I will go thru switch tomorrow .I know if you flip it to on position the starter won't even engage .flip it to off position ir will spin over .
