I had a request to show the 3 new hood styles, with the 125 in the works, but not shown.

Earl F,

Did you say Deestones on the back? Got any pics?

Jim S,

Both ag tires are Carlisle Tru Power. The stack of ags are 6-12, and the two big-uns are 23x10.50-12.
The tri-ribs are Desstone 4.00-8.
The other two rib tires are Vredestein 5 rib 170\60-8 (16x6.50-8).

I can do closeup mounted pics of the 6-12 ags and Deestones if anyone needs it.
These tires are on my 70.
It will be a bit longer before I can show the big ags and V61s mounted. I just started on that project.

Jason W. has nice pics of the big ags, and Steve B. has pics of the V61s on his big red machine.

In my opinion, there should be at least three categories of tractors to showcase these tires.
1. Narrow Frames
2. Wide Frames
3. 82 Series (Red)

Example: A 6-12 ag looks good on a narrow frame, but would look silly on a 82 series. JMHO

6x12 look even weirder on a Case with wide front's...

Size probably would help.
23-8.5-12. I have 23-10.5-12 Tru Powers on dad's 1450 right now, really good tires. These deestone's grab well for no weights on it other than my 250# in the seat!

Charlie P. Fantastic with the introduction ofo new replacement hoods. Now I don't have to hoard my 1x4/5 hoods anymore.

Sweet thing finally having a tire comparison place. It will save a lot of time doing research.

Finally got the motor back for the 147 electric lift.
Was wondering what would be the best grease for the gear box and ram screw. Lubriplate in a tube maybe? Wheel bearing grease or just plain gun grease/ What say you guys?

The manuals says,
4-1. Lubrication
Duff-Norton recommends the use of the following lubricant in conjunction with proper maintenance procedures of this unit: Exxon Ronnex Exra Duty #1.

So, pretty much any good lithium grease with moly is good enough.
I personally use the industrial version of Case Akcela Multi-Purpose Grease 251H EP, made by Viscosity Oil Company. The oil, grease, Hytran supplier for IH and CNH.

Hey can anyone find the size roll pin I need for my CW-36 snow thrower. Its the shear pin there by the chain by the top sprocket which connect the universal shaft ftom the gearbox PTO . I wanna say its a 5/16 x 1 1/8 ? But cant seem to find it in the schematitics ?

I have a slightly bent hood on my model 100 tractor and am happy that a quality reproduction is available to replace it when I can.

And since you kinda forgot to download the manual that shows all the info.

I'm bettin a sponsor listed above carries them.

Dale M. Your front tire photo/description is exactly what I wanted to see. Let's put that in the Forum's new "Tire Buyers Guide" Thanks

David

Actually have a few of those and in 26 years I've owned it I've never broken that shear pin. In illustration 6 they show 2 lubrication points by the top sprocket on the chain . To the right of the sprocket there's a small roll pin and that's the one I need replaced. It's the only one I've ever broken. I did download the manual so ty for the link.
