It's been awhile but I don't think so. As I recall it was a fiberious kind of washer.

Sad day today. Lost the last original tire on the ole 122 while plowing snow. Ran over a thumb tack some where and the tack finally fell out today.

RIP American made Good Year.

But on the other hand I think one of our sponsors will be receiving an order for some new tri ribs and tubes! Those rims just might make it to the stripper for some new life too.

It's 70 to 80 degrees warmer in the cellar than it is outside (and it's 70-80 degrees in the cellar) Great day to do a temporary set-up of the new breather cover (glue the gaskets on one side).

Tom, Harry,

The originals were a leather washer/ring. I use 1/8" "O" rings from Lowes or Home Depot plumbing dept., or the sponsors listed above may have them.

Hey all, built a small engine test stand and curious as to whether or not the flywheel needs to be mounted before I run one? Haven't done this before and don't want to trash a new motor. Thanks

Terry Davis

I would not run a Cub engine with out the flywheel. The flywheel aides with balance to the Crank and cools the engine.

Hydro H..... Havent checked napa yet, I know we have one maybe 8-10 miles from the house. Most of the time I usually go to O Reilys or Advanced Auto , there just over a mile from the house. We had a KOI Savage right by O Reilys , but there lease ran out and they moved after 28 years. I would much rather go there even though there a lil higher, only because they know what there doin. Savage guys arent afraid to break out the old parts books if you know what I mean. lol I'm gonna have to take a ride out to Napa and check it out maybe next week. My truck isnt the greatest on gas, 95 F150xlt 5.8 6 inch lift & 35's ...

Does anybody know if the later Kohler long-blocks would have had a serial number decal on the backside of the aluminum bearing plate like this? I just found this today after removing the starter/generator...

Also, can anyone comment on the markings on these valves and the notch in the "STD-bore" piston shown here? Are these later Kohler items? (I've never seen the markings on the valves or the notch on the piston)

If that number decal is really a serial number, then this engine is a 1985 vintage long-block.
