Everett Buck; I bought my first cub cadet back in the mid 60s because i needed a lawn mower.I have never owned any other brand. I have enjoyed working with them and repairing them every since. My work horse is a 147 and my mowing tractor is a 169. Cub Cadets is hard to find in my area. If I lived in the midwest i would spend all my money collecting them. ENJOY.

The tabs on the front grille housing that the headlights mount to on the 1811 were broke when I got it. I used jb weld on them and they are still holding out fine. It's repainted now and I can't even tell which tabs were broke. Also when I was out of town with my expedition, I discovered a small crack in the transfer case, I wanted to get it back to my hometown area so I put jb weld on it, I was going to have it repaired/replaced but it held up so good I left it alone. that was 30,000 miles ago. I'm such a cheap a?s.

There's a Grump around here doesn't think much of - as he calls it -"JB don't Weld", but you've been a member long enough to look out for yourself ....

More "stealth winter" here in Central Michigan - another three inches or so overnight. I'm actually considering putting a blade on the el smoko 149 and shoving some snow around rather than throwing it with the 129 - take out all that inner aggression that's building up..

Jason Davis: Am I imagining things, or did a reserve just appear on that 123?

Buck, Jason, we call it Yellow and White fever, no known cure, only temporary relief when you acquire another Cub Cadet or accessory.

thats a great idea, the ziplock bags!so far most of what ive took apart ive screwed back into the proper place.I looked up the part!I broke the tab/connection on the rod that connects to the brake peddal for the brake centering cam.there is a pin that connects it together that didnt take to well being hit with a hammer, all that to say im going to find a new way to take pins out!I have two of them spirol pins that have to come out now but ill be a bit more reserved this time.
