Jason; nice mount. Is that an Eastern? How big was your bird?

Yes it was an Eastern and he was about 27 lbs. Shot him with my bow at 35 yards. Killed another one in the same spot 2 weeks later and 10 yards and it was bigger. Practiced using mouth calls on live ones today for my cousin had a few birds committ from 3-400 yards they'd come within 70 yards, but wouldn't finish weather has been messed up. They can't decide if they should talk or shut up.

Spend the weekend in Sioux Lookout, Ontario with dad and my younger brother. Here is the 39" Northern Pike I caught our 2nd day there.

Locals say a fish like that took about 20yrs to grow that big, so we sent him back to fight another day...

It's that time of year again . . .
I filled my buck tag, found this nice 5-year old buck first thing in the morning. Shot off the knee at 250 yards and cut the jugular, saved all the meat.

Ended up having to deal with 8" of snow in the higher elevations, not unusual for South Dakota, but pretty unusual in this area.
