Yea well,
I told him he was getting a new spring or he was getting his pump back just like he sent it.

So it's heading back to him tomorrow with new gears and a new spring, LOL

It's not like you can find gears just anywhere.

Or springs....
Doug Anderson,
the later style heat shield hits the front grill housing on a 122,123,PO put a replacement kohler in my 123 and bent the newer shield to make it fit.

Due to many of my esteemed colleagues suggesting the "heat and beat" method I will give that try. My concern is that the u will expand due to the extra metal being displaced, but then again might be over thinkin it.

Charlie,
if my attachments drift down when the tractor is running; is that a sign the pump is wore and not holding pressure or the cylinder seals leaking past? I'm not used to a pump with an internal valve.
Do you know what the pump pressure is supposed to be?

Matt M.
I've never had one that didn't leak down a little, but that was after the machine was shut off.
I have seen a cracked gear do that.
I did find one once that the pump spool valve had cracked though.
I have no clue what the pressure output is, but I'm sure someone here does.
