i was in reverse and something snapped and it died i checked and there isnt any compression
 
also thanks for the add guys hoping to pick your minds for help as i am new to owning an old cub

If you don't have compression after you heard the snapping noise, you most likely broke the connecting rod inside the engine. Other causes could be blown spark plug or head gasket or broken piston.

Did you check the oil level before starting the engine after you got it. The most frequent cause of engine failure is running them low on oil.
 
does anyone still make the dipstick for a 1967 cubcadet123 as it is discontinued from kohler
